I don’t recommend staying silent as Town. It’s almost always better to come out and say your role and any info you have, as this will pretty much confirm your place and leave evils with little to claim.

Yep, claimed escort D1 and got consort, mafioso and consig down by D2 (mafioso and consort claimed escort, consig defended the mafioso by saying he was NS).

I usually stay silent early as Investigator, Jailor, Vigilante, and Transporter. It's better if people think I am unspecified town in those cases since I can use deduction. As investigator or jailor, I can narrow things out early if I'm unknown (the Godfather might claim to be Lookout for instance if he thinks Town Investigative is a spy or something). As a Vigilante, I can hide from mafia kills and seem like veteran baiting with silence. As a transporter, I want to cause chaos against the mafia. Of course, I do come out eventually, but early game don't even put up a defense because I think if they don't lynch me, I can be much more useful. This worked better when there was an "Any" slot in ranked... I'm starting to get lynched 25% of the time with my early silence once that slot was removed ages ago. I have no idea why the lack of the "Any" makes people more prone to lynching anyone who isn't role confirmed since there are still 3 "Random Town"...

OMG 12 and 14 sucked. Those lookouts were actual garbage. One sells out TP and the other reveals to mafia that there's no TP on "jailor" to get off stand. Doesn't matter if he was actually jester, the LO didn't know that when posting the will. Neither of them helped town at all with any info, and both helped mafia. What a carry by the one decent LO and TK, woo! All TK, even dead TK, were at the top of their game.
