TAS turns this game into Megaman X with the dashes and wall climbs.

In the original ending the only piece of dialouge that was changed in english was "I AM MORE THAN A ROBOT, DIE WILY!!" where in the original it was just "..." (this is also why he uncharges his buster), so either way Mega Man was contemplating killing off Wily right there. He just comes across as more determined to do so in the US dialouge.

26:02 I looked up the ending of Rockman 7 and it turns out the dialogue was substantially rewritten during localization. Here is a basic translation of the original: Dr. Wily: Sorry, Rockman. I won't do it anymore, so cut me some slack! Rockman: I won't be fooled again! Dr. Wily: Attacking? Are you going to attack me? You, a robot, on me, a human being? Rockman: ...... on the Wily Capsule, you can shoot it with Cloud Man's weapon to force the capsule to shoot electric balls to the ground. Doing this bypasses the elemental shots attack from Wily which are tricky to dodge. I found this out while having trouble in my original playing

Megaman 7 was the first classic game to have an intro stage, 8 and Rockman & Forte would continue this. Megaman 7 is underrated I’ll agree, there’s even a hidden Vs mode that can be accessed through the password screen and a hidden shop which the game never tells you about in-game itself, maybe in the instruction manual? Yeah remember those? They are such a lost art in modern gaming.

19:40 there is a record that TAS doesn't hold, and that is Donkey Kong 64. Due to an oversight with physical cartridges of the game, features unlocked by taking pictures of banana fairies are PERMANENTLY unlocked for that cartridge, regardless if save files are deleted. Because of clean slate rules for TAS speedruns, TAS has to go and collect two banana fairies in order to unlock a feature that RTA players already have access to, which gives an RTA player a time advantage against TAS.

@@mylam658 I've got a no damage, buster-only walkthrough video of MM7 I did a while ago and have them split up into individual videos for each stage. I'll try to send you the video of the freezeman boss fight. Ive honestly felt like he was straight up CAKE since I was like 8 years old. There's just ONE toss-up in his pattern, after he throws the ice on the ceiling, most of the time, he'll throw an ice ball at you, so you tiny hop, to get HIM to jump, then slide underneath the ball and him, but every now and then he doesn't do that...instead of throwing the ball at you, he just runs straight towards you. So I'll admit that throws me off lol.

25:37 So, the reason for this is because the TAS is hitting the Wily Machine with Thunderbolt. Thunderbolt overcharges the Capsule so Wily is forced to do the much easier to dodge 4 thunder spheres attack on the ground instead of the elemental homing fast spheres of doom.

There are a lot of Mega Man X references in Mega Man 7 on purpose. 1. Because of this game being done in a few months it would be quick to borrow themes from a previous game. 2. Mega Man X was popular so might as well make a new game topiggyback on that success. 3. Games in a series tend to have homages to previous released games usually for nostalgia

Actually TAS isn’t AI. It’s a preprogrammed set of inputs that have to be manually set up by a human frame by frame. Once the laborious set up is done you hit the play button and watch it go. It goes as fast as theoretically possible with the understanding of whatever game whoever is programming the button inputs for it.
