this city was bombed by Japanese for six years continuously. now it's one of the most futuristic cities in the world. incredible development and amazing people. And perhaps that's why China also offered help to countries that were bombed like Laos for infrastructure... because the Chinese know the pain and how precious it is to rebuild a homeland. 🥺

But Laos doesn't need your help to build anything though.... They aren't that capitalistic !!! And stop bulldozing every single historical artefacts.... Some have been kept the same ways for 1000 years. EVEN BEFORE THE JAPANESE WAR !!!!!!!...... Stoppit.

But I visited the city during summer and did not enjoy much because it's incredibly hot during the day. However, it's the night view of the city that blew me off to the river. It's literally a cyberpunk city and it was overwhelming for me. Everything was so lit up, entire skyscrapers looking like a video screen! I couldn't stop looking everywhere! I was in such awe!!! Cant wait for the next episode!!! And once again, the music simply pumps up the mood and you look so gorgeous in that traditional dress! Love from India.

You know why we Americans have never heard of it? Because the American media has been hiding the fact that China is getting more advanced in all aspects in tech, medicine, city infrastructure. The last 15 years have been incredible. Anyone who hasn't been to China in the last 15 years will not recognize many cities. It's time for Asian Americans to look in the mirror and recognize their own rich history and culture.

American here ... China is absolutely worthy of respect for the progress it has made and for its desire to lead the world into a better future. Anything the West accuses China of doing is something the West itself is guilty of many times over. The West has dominated the world for 600 years and it's mostly been an age of horror. It's time for something better. So my Chinese friend, don't be too concerned with the criticism you hear from Washington, London, or Brussels. Many of us Westerners have opened our eyes. Long live China.

Szechuan is my favourite Chinese flavoured food so would love it here - generally very spicy so would seek the medium to hot offerings. Highly impressive city and cultural displays of Chongqing. Really appreciate you showcasing it and thanks also to your Chinese friend who guided you along the way. The Ming style dress looks really good on you. You have done really well to get the spoils of travel offered to you in that fantastic hotel. Enjoy!
