Jane is a great character if you don't actually have to deal with him or the fallout of his actions. One of my most amusing imaginary crossovers would be The Mentalist and Lie to Me. Patrick Jane and Cal Lightman on the same case, trying to one-up each other with ever more outrageous escapades then finally teaming up to pull some epic con on the bad guy, while Lisbon and Foster try to rein them in would be hilarious.

This statement makes me wonder, just how much potential Jane had to be someone like Dr. Cal. Unfortunately he was only taught to con people through his observing skills by his father, and hence got on the wrong side of the law.

@@keysburntgucci9016 I think they really have a fair amount in common, and are both inclined to use their skills outside the lines if they think the end is justified. I'm not sure if I can see Jane wanting to put in the time with the science, though. His carnie upbringing was too free-wheeling and anti-authoritarian for that. He's definitely what the Lie to Me team would call a "natural" (even though he was taught by his father).

I love that line "70/30 I was right, I wouldn't call that terrible.. a betting man would call that risky." lol.

Jim Beaver is in 14 episodes of Justified. It's so up your alley. Put it on the list now! 😉 He's also in 35 episodes of Deadwood. Amazing western that never ended until a half assed film after years of pressure. Thinking about it, I'd swear there's an episode in Justified that takes place in the same round stables.🤣

Exactly!!! Jane's the best, only if you don't actually have to deal with him in real life.

The woman talking about the card at the crime scene, isn't she the same woman from the pilot?

Yes horse racing is dominantly male. I grew up around it and my dad is really good at handicapping and the word spreads around like wild fire, he has people asking him what to bet.

9:35 - first female jockey rode in 1969. Around 1/4 of all professional jockeys are women. So it is more of a "man" sport, but women are not uncommon.

Half grew up on a farm and as manure goes, horses are the least offensive. Pigs and chickens are top rank for sure. Pun intended. Unless you add meat eaters like cats and dogs....

I don't see how he would have gotten away with switching when horses have a certain tattoo on the inside of their upper lip

explained in the full episode i believe, matching tattoos
@courtneymoore3177Ай бұрын
@@Sam-xd5oy you have to register horses with the state horsing commission before they can run, so they have to be distinguished from other horses and even twins have different markings in some places

@@courtneymoore3177 im sure it wouldnt be possible in real life, but in the full episode it was stated that both horses had the same tattoo.
