Eighteen months ago today, my best friend was murdered by her husband, he killed their 2 year old son & her almost 10 year old daughter before turning the gun on himself. I had my alarm set for Pandora to play to wake me. & after about a week of numbness, I finally broke. She was my perfect person. So much emotion for this song, I can't listen without crying. Wishing & hoping I could have been there to save her. Her children. Thank you, Menzingers. This song is my song for her. Them.

Aaron Devine I also have to respectfully disagree. I think the Menzingers with the whole album (not just this song) have tried to a do things a bit differently to freshen things up. Which is fine, and in some cases it's worked pretty well. However with this particular song, especially the vocals, Greg seems like he's having a go at doing a Bob Dylan-esque song. I don't think it suits him and it's that, rather than the lyrics, which I don't like.
