that's the measure of a good design...BUT, to be honest, Jeremy Clarkson is correct: the plastics on the dash do look a little cheap....if I was one of those guys where money was no object, I'd be tempted to remove them, send them out and have castings made out of billet aluminum. I was doing aluminum castings as a hobby for a while there, it's really not that difficult. You could literally use the plastic one to make a mold from, then cast and polish it. One of the big issues you'd have to address is shrinkage. When aluminum cools it shrinks. Someone restoring a supermarine spitfire asked me to cast some hard to find parts for him but I shied away because I didn't want to get into the shrinkage issue.

Hey Tyler! So, I’ve done a bunch of services on SLR’s. I didn’t notice in your video if Ninja drained and replace the oil strainer and the seals on the SLR, as well as the oil feed and return tubes on the SLS! The SLR it was the little H looking metal plate with the 4 bolts on the flat side of the oil pan, and on the SLS it’s the tubes that went into the dry sump. Just something to look over! The oil strainer on the SLR is definitely important!

I bought a ‘22 C300 last fall. Had the A Service done at the dealer, but am seriously considering having an independent shop do the B service. $1K+ at the dealer shop for an oil change, brake flush (which shouldn’t be needed at 20k miles), and an air filter change just seems crazy. If I had a Ninja or Wizard like Hoovie I’d probably skip the dealer shop except for recalls and warranty work.

So happy for a new video Tyler!! Will say… I prefer your older format of you holding a GoPro vs having a camera follow you. For me, the GoPro feels more personal, almost video diary-esque. Having a cameraman follow you might seem like there’s more production value, but I think it loses the appeal from before. I’m sure it’s probably easier physically not to have to hold a camera, for sure. But I always enjoyed how real and authentic your videos felt. That, and I miss the theme music you had in your older videos. Would love it if that came back!
