In Spanish there is a interesting phenomenon, at least in Mexico, mermaids are called "sirenas" but sirens are bird-like creatures and the closest to mermaids are the "nereidas" and not so much, then there is a lot of confusion when looking for info because we don't have a worf for the "doncella del mar" 😅

@@ChroniclesofaZoe there's a big bird over here (well, not precisely in Mexico but central and south America) that people says it's a witch because of how it looks and the sounds it make, I haven't seen it personally but I guess it's impressive, urutau I believe is called, no wonder why some legends could come from a distracted and jumpy people. Once I scared some women in the cornfield in a rural town where relatives live, I have long hair and was just took a shower so I come out to take a walk, a German shepherd of the house went with me, in one moment I stand still looking to my phone and see them walking so I raised my hand and greeted them and they start running out 😂 Next morning in the mill where everyone takes their corn to make tortillas I overheard how some told that the llorona appeared to her midwife last night... People in town are already mildly scared of me, so I just silently giggled 😂😂😂

My brother and I saw a merman or mermaid we felt it was male. Its along story to type but it turned my world around! I was beyond scared for weeks and still get scared just remembering the look it gave us! It was more than one but only one made itself known to us! We ran! Big 50yrs old man running like i was 10yrs old my brother didn't run at first he was in awe i had to tell him RUN!!!! I don't tel much ppl about it because I don't feel comfortable talking about it but my mom's had a birthday dinner with only her sons. So while talking i decided to tell my mom about what my brother and I saw he was there also so we explained everything to her and she told us that our dad told her the same thing years ago but she thought him and his friends were drunk. My father has passed away 5yrs ago and never told us about it only my mum . Ironically the place we saw the mermaid was the same place his friends and him saw one! They are UGLY!! Jet black! And Intimidating... the stare it gave us is unforgettable!!!

Hey, I’ve been watching your show for about 3 weeks now . I’ve always believed in mermaids . I’ve had dreams for years about me being in water. I don’t understand the dream at all but I’m always at the bottom of the ocean, the dream is so vivid it almost feels to real every-time. Most people would think I’m crazy when I tell them mermaids are real for the simple fact we DO develop in water lol. I’ve heard mermaids to be demonic. What about the children?
