Update: I've had these for a year now and they are STILL holding up great! When they get dirty I just scrub them with a brush. When they get extra dirty (patrol rifle training) I toss them in the washer and give them 3 days to dry. I love them so much I bought another pair (tan).

Thanks for this! I've been with 511 and Danner so I'm wanting to try something new also! I saw these on Ebay and I really want a pair for patrol. I need something that will last through hard use. Sounds like these are a winner!!!! Be safe out there man!!!!

Update: I've been wearing these boots on patrol for two 1/2 weeks now. My relationship with leather tac boots has definitely changed. I LOVE these boots, infact, I want to wear them 24/7! It's been scorching hot here in Tn but these boots have kept my feet comfortable! Wore them for patrol rifle training and these boots held up nicely. We ran, twisted, turned, and went prone; these babies kept my feet nice and tight all day. These are definitely worth the money! I just hope I can get a long wear time out of them for patrol but if not I'm still willing to buy another pair. They are around the same price as 511's but much more comfy!!!! Hopefully they will be fine for cold weather but if not I'll just slap on the Danners.

I can find that in snow they are fine, but with just ice they feel that they don’t grip as well as some. Just got to be careful. Great pair of boots. -EMS

Hey buddy, I also live in TN and am looking for new duty boots as well. How are they as far as breathability. All I've worn is Danners and my last pair have been pretty warm, making my feet sweat a lot! What are your thoughts>

​@jacobasher461 Sorry, I'm so late to respond but yes, they breathe well in this hot Tn weather. This summer has been brutal. These boots make it more bearable. Way cooler Danners. They get warm but not as bad as regular boots.

I go to Fire recruit school starting in a week as a self sponsor. I need boots that are polishable. I have seen your other reviews. I think I'm between the bates and the 5.11. I've never owned a pair of tactical boots. How well-suited are these boots for hiking? Mostly day hiking or the occasional long weekend hiking trip.

May be a long shot for a reply, but I’m trying to find a great boot to wear for day to day. Im a security officer but plan on becoming a police officer. I’d like something affordable but comfortable. I’ve been eying these as well as the Bates tactical sport 2. What would you recommend?

mine are barely holding together after 2 years. after a year of everyday wear the toe guard becomes unstitched. super comfortable tho i wore them everyday and beat the crap out of them. ive had 2 pairs and both did the same thing.

They suck on any type of wet surfaces I live in the PNW and stopped wearing these after like a week

Mine hold up well on wet surfaces and I'm on patrol 12 hours a day. I haven't had any wet surface problems even when running.

I did buy a pair, and I like them. Too hot for the summer months, but okay for the other seasons. I tried different insoles until I found the ones I liked best, making the boots very comfortable.
