For me? He had an affair with a guy (who called him) who potentially knowingly infected him. It broke up the guy's marriage and family. HIs disappointment during the call to his daughter when she said 'daddy' is not sure he could come was potent. I believe the result was negative which gave him a big sense of relief but it was engulfed by an overwhelming feeling of sadness that he had destroyed what was probably a great relationship.

It’s like developing cancer. I would imagine that doesn’t matter if it’s treatable in the initial moment for people who feel like me. to confirm the diagnosis of HIV you need at least 2 positive tests which would take 1 - 2 weeks depending on the lab. This is just a first test to know if you should do the other tests or not

it's a quick test. It takes 15 min to show the result and around 2-3 months from the moment of infection for it to be accurate.

OK so his husband knowingly infected him with HIV ant that's why their daughter was like daddy says he doesn't know is he's allowed to come; because they're not on speaking terms...GOT it... my only problem is just how long he spent outside the clinic; shopping, smoking, lollygagging seems more like an hour than 15 freaking minutes to me. Its standard WHO protocol... Initially only a cheaper but more specific test done if this test comes negative there is no need to do a 2nd test but if first test comes positive then sample is tested again whether it was truly positive or not with more specific test....thats why it took more time

He seems financially well off so there's no reason for him to go around bumming cigarettes from people when he could easily buy his own pack. Which indicates that he doesn't smoke. He most likely used to smoke and has quit, since he has no problem smoking the cigarette (a first time smoker would cough his lungs out). He quit and doesn't wanna start again so he gave the pack away when someone asked him for one cigarette. Depending on how much he smoked, for how long and the time that passed since he quit, most if not all the health risks could be gone by now. Smoking a singe cigarette doesn't reestablish those risks. Your argument is invalid.
