Just entered my teen years living at Bay Farm Villas in the 1970s when this song came out. The version/dub always stuck with me.

One of the best songs out of Jamaica, even if you don't support the party and its socialist doctrines..we dance to it same way

Everyone eat sleep drink and be merry. Remember this slogan well said from me . Respect, love , happiness and understanding. Love you all , keep the music on high note and the Jahmerican flag flying high .

yeah, definitely about as explicitly partisan as you could get - a dig at JLP leader Eddie Seaga, who was not born in Jamaica, nor were his parents. Clancy Eccles was a full on Manley supporter and was not shy about it. this is not something you'd play for your Labourite buddies...... the dub on the flip side is pretty good, though. garrison politics were in full swing well before this record came out......
