You were grafted in to the tree through Christ as a chosen follower. He set us apart for his purpose. You weren’t grafted in to the Pharisees and Sadducee’s who were spiritually blind and did not recognize the one that the Torah spoke of. If you don’t know the Son you have NO part in the Father, intellectually or otherwise. When a person is joined to Christ and is Baptized into him the Holy Spirit joins him back to the Father . If you don’t understand Christ you don’t know the Father as he said himself. Christ fulfilled all the Torah required of us to fulfill for us and through the Spirit empowered us to be able to carry that out.

Oh this is crazy! Yesterday I had decided to read Micah 5 in prep for Christmas coming. I did several times. Then in the evening we went to Bible study and the teacher was teaching on Matthew 2 and Numbers 24. As I was reading numbers 24 to myself and then into 25 while he was teaching. I was struck how it kept reminding me of Micah! Several places seemed similar to me! I told my husband about it on our drive home. I had wanted to watch this video yesterday and never got a chance to. Here I was listening just now and when you said the Micah 5 part I was shocked. So shocked I called out for my husband like I needed his help. Oops sorry dear…just really excited about God’s Word, His Spirit’s working and the puzzle pieces that fit together! Wow just wow! At about 8:40 timestamp the very sad statement is made that the religious leaders do not read the portions of scripture relating to ChristJesus, the promised Messiah. And it brought to mind the verses in Matthew23 where Jesus condemns the religious leaders of his day no better than the leaders of old who murdered the prophets and they kept the people away from Him, nothing has changed sadly, but we all long for the day of Romans11 when Israel finally recognizes Christ Jesus as their Messiah.

What Ive seen is that true believers in Yeshua aren't required to keep any holydays or holidays. They are also not required to give up all their old holidays based upon Col. 2:6-17, 3:17; Heb. 8-10; Rom. 14:1-7. It seems to make it clear that the Old Testament laws were a shadow of things to come, of Jesus' work. Since he is the only one that has the ability to truly save, not keeping the ceremonial laws, then he is the only judge a believer is truly accountable to. So whether he/she continues with certain holidays (and dietary restrictions, in context) should be based on the Spirit's leading. Individuals, even in biological families, are free to differ....

Shalom, There are no set B'rit Chadashah readings to accompany the parshahs because the diverse factions of Messianic believers have not yet been able to discuss it; however, there are many suggestions, all subject to change. (The best guide is, and always will come from the prompting of the Ruach HaKo'desh, or "Holy Spirit.") For Balak, i have chosen Jude 1-25, trying to preserve the theme of the portion. Oh yes, they have for many many years, even before Messiah Yahshua. There is a great book called "The Messiah Texts' by Raphael Patai, which details the MULTIPLE erroneous APPROVALS (by various sects of Judaism) of 'messiahs'. Of course they barely give a 'by line' to 'jesus' (rightfully), for this 'jesus' is like the 'goyeem mask' which Joseph wore as chancellor and why his brothers could not recognize him. So it is with the True Messiah, who, like Joseph in Egypt, will be revealed at YHWH's timing.

God did say that He would be a light to the Gentiles. We Gentiles saw him when Israel did not, because he is a light to the Gentiles. Are we using God's gifts to satisfy the lust of our eyes, or the lust of our flesh, or the pride of our own life? The gifts and call of God are without repentance. Psalm 22 King James Version 22 My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? 2 O my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent. 3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. 4 Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. 5 They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded. 6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. 7 All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, 8 He trusted on the Lord that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him. 9 But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts. 10 I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly. 11 Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help. 12 Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round. 13 They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion. 14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels. 15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death. 16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. 17 I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. 18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture. 19 But be not thou far from me, O Lord: O my strength, haste thee to help me. 20 Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog. 21 Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns. 22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. 23 Ye that fear the Lord, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel. 24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard. 25 My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him. 26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek him: your heart shall live for ever. 27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. 28 For the kingdom is the Lord's: and he is the governor among the nations. 29 All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul. 30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation. 31 They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

Wonderful, Beautiful. i love how Jesus coming out of Egypt. Is also symbolic of Jesus being raised from the dead. Similar to all the secondary meanings of the account of the Jewish people crossing the Jordan. How so many details cry out redemption. (very hard to see in english) The Balaam account has a donkey. It seems very important to pay attention to stories that have donkeys in them. Donkeys representing faithful hard working servants.
