Awesome, glad I discovered this conqueror’s blade channel! Makes me feel less alone playing the game haha

I agree with most of what you say but I would say Queen's Paladins are a better unit because of the speed they have you can pick your battles most of the time. As for Modao it's fun to use unit attire on them and enemy cavalry might think they are mace sergeants and charge into them.
@AlanApogee3 күн бұрын
Agreed, I did put QK a bit down since I didn't really play them myself and haven't really lost in a matchup. So I must be underestimating them somehow

What kind of donkey would confuse modao with mace seargants?

@@AlanApogee Definitley should put Queens up there on the great tier. Their mobility and ability to deal high damage while being invulnerable shouldnt be underestimated.

12:44 I think you meant Prefecture heavy cavalry, they deal more dmg and get more base HP the more they kill

I was never able to successfully play with T5 pike Phalanx unit

I'm working on a video about them, so maybe you'll get it once you see that one? I've been having quite a lot of success,but there's quite a lot of tricks to master

T5 Varangian is now meta. they counter all spear units and will curve stomp the phalanx. I get 60-80 kills per game using them.

Very interesting, I'll need to check up on them again, and they seem to do well against paladins

Remember this guy's if your team have 1 or 2 longbows don't bring more please, these days i know that am lossing the match before it start when i see all my teammates bringing longbow, i agree it's good unit but have 4 player of your team sitting in the back babysitting there units and shooting shield units it's just annoying and frustrating!

bro I grinded for those Steelwards and now Tier list saying they barely playable XD

Sadly they're absolute garbage... Don't worry, they may get a mastery next season, they were an option to vote in the last mastery survey along with Fortebraccio and I doubt they won't get a mastery next

As Roctech said, a lot of the units in this game gets outdated fast. So if you want to get good results, you always need to keep up with the meta unfortunately

Phalanx needs a nerf, it’s overpowered
@CanisMythson9 сағат бұрын
Technically... They are getting a soft nerf. What that means is, a nerf that is indirect as a result of some other change that affects them by proxy. What is this soft nerf? It's the new weapon claas, Spear and Shield. Phalanx hits a lot of little times, building up a Spear and Shield's rage bar almost instantly, and their kick is more effective, the more units are packed together in close proximity, which Phalanx specifically are the highest unit count of any unit in the game, with such dense formations that one kick is basically guaranteed to hurt them all. In a similar vein, from PTR testing I've seen, the new T5 is going to be able to get past Phalanx as well. At least in the no doctrine fight, they win pretty handedly.

@ oh wow, thanks for the heads up! That settles it then, I need the new T5 lol.

Care to elaborate? Tier lists are very subjective, and I'm always looking for niche things to play

hmm idk looks a bit messy to be honest. i dont see "big issues" and it goes in the right direction but "meta means = most effective tactic aviable" and in that there is a lot of units, specially units who counter other meta units. Meta is: phalanx, iron reaper, silahadars, queen knights, paladins, xuanjia, companian cav, lionroar crew, siphos they all get played a lot because they all work good vs each other and very good vs "less strong" units and what is and what isnt meta is always based on the "who can kill who"; like when the Wuwei were really OP and everybody spammed them, palaceguards got meta because they counter them. OP is overpowered and should look at the value of a unit, as you said at the beginning rattanmarksman were overpowered but not because of what they did but for the cost, if they would have been a 300 leadership unit they would have been fine. So for OP we have Paladins and companion cav, since we get far far greater value out of them than what we should. An honorable mention would be the rattanpikemen who can trade 1v1 vlt most t5 inf units very well or the blue hellbards who are even in t4 lock the best cav counter. I like that you bring in special units, but tbf falcos are very very weak and there are reasons nobody plays them besides eSports with ban-system. Also very much like it that you dont rank ranged units high, but i would swap the feathered crossbowmen with the rattanmarksman, to a simple reason: the poison still lowers the damage and slowing, by-passes def stats. Maybe i´m too critical and i want to apologize if thats the case, its the first video i saw from you and i do like the style!

Good points. Tier lists are just not good at getting into the nuances between units, so I made this with Ranked in mind (aka, what to bring to win the game assuming you had only ~750 leadership). Quite a few people say ironcap scouts should at least be decent, while I agree they are great, when placed in a warband they use up ~100 leadership which makes filling out the rest a bit more complicated. At the end of the day, you can really just play 3 units per game, so filling in a T3/T2 unit means your not playing a T5 frontline instead. OP in my list means they need a nerf and are too good, so good that you must bring them regardless of your playstyle or their leadership value. While meta means game makers, aka units that decides what units the opposing team needs to bring. You don't change your unit selection b/c someone brought Iron reapers, but if someone brought around 2/3 phalanxes, you're not going to play cav, instead you're going to bring anti phalanx units and vise versa.

It's unfair to rank units like this. New players will look at this and think "queens knights are in the same tier as halberdiers, they must be trash" a better way would be to make separate tier lists with respect to their era. This list is based solely on 1v1 with no hero involvement. Sure wuwi can solo every infantry, but with a well timed ult, many of the units in unplayable can beat them. Also i'd have to disagree with some of the ranking here ironcap scout cav can destroy a lot of infantry units whilst being a green unit imp archers do an unbelievable amount of damage with their bodkin arrows imp jav like archers, do an insane amount of damage, but with very limited ammo and decent in melee, meaning if you have a brain, blue units and below shouldn't be beating you bagpipers should be in specialty palace guards, 5 second cc immunity, means you can beat a lot of non shielded charging units like wuwei, and they can survive frontal cav charges zweihanders are good in big fights, especially with bot veterancy varangian counters phalanx chevaliers, are just hussars but worse fusiliers have insane attack speed and move speed imp muskets, great in blob fights imp spears are literal brick walls orochi are good, just run away from shields onna musha are glass cannons all these units should be at least decnt - good tier
@AlanApogee2 күн бұрын
Don't think your wrong here, but they are definitely not decent or good tier in APAC ranked. Since APAC actually has skill based ranked matchmaking unlike NA\EU, you can see what units become the favourable ones to get higher win ratios. So most of what you mentioned aren't played in Marshal ranked unfortunately. Units in niche are not bad, just that they are not good all the time compared to the decent ones.
