I lived in DC before the metro was built. There was s storm of grumbling about whether it should be built. Alas, it was finally constructed and the came and came. Kudos to the forward thinking people of the DC metro area.

Metro is unsafe to use. Derailments, fires, track malfunctions all due to lack of maintenance and lazy employees. AVOID!

My cousin rides and has ridden almost daily for the last 10 years and has no major complaints. She gets to work on time 99% of the time and we both enjoy the experience of using the DC metro. It’s the most aesthetically cohesive system in the entire world. It’s a blessing we have it.
