@susiehaltmann33426 ай бұрын
I really like that detail. (Despite it definitely not being the same Kraid because how tf would they have captured the original Kraid if the whole X Parasite thing was going on? There are 3 other options. Either 1. They got some of kraids dna and cloned him and had him restrained to use him as a bioweapon. 2. Its just another member of kraids species to again be used as a bioweapon. Or 3. It isn’t the same kraid but also didn’t originate from an outside source. As in the Mawkin created that kraid from scratch. Most likely one of the first 2 but it would be crazy if it was the third. And the game also says its “a giant monster that appears to be Kraid”
@Luigifan3053 жыл бұрын
Great video as always! That being said, I feel the need to make one small correction regarding the origins of Mecha Ridley. According to the "Palutena's Guidance" for Ridley in Smash Ultimate, it wasn't some backup plan created by the space pirate higher-ups in case of Ridley dying, but was in fact actually something of a "pet project" of Ridley himself, who personally built the thing in his own image for no other reason than out of sheer narcissism. Really helps show just how full of himself he is lol. Anyways, I know you've only just scratched the surface of the Metroid series, but whenever you eventually finish it, I think it would be amazing to see you tackle Kirby next, considering just how much depth is hidden beneath its simple and cute exterior.
@GamerThumbTV3 жыл бұрын
I don't really acknowledge Smash Bros story bits since it's not info found within the Metroid series. A Space Pirate backup plan makes much more sense. Especially since Ridley never once has been shown to have any kind of mechanical skills. Him building a robot is the last thing a character like that would be doing. Not to mention the fact that in Smash Pit responds with "Is that canon?" More of a fun piece of info thrown in than actual story content.
@RippahRooJizah3 жыл бұрын
I'm not a Smash player but I couldn't really consider anything in Smash to be canonical to whatever series the character is from. I know one of the games mention that a Pokeball houses an entire environment, which runs counter to the anime and manga.
@evanbao933 жыл бұрын
@@GamerThumbTV The Smash Bros is actually referring to a developer quote by Sakamoto, who stated that Mecha Ridley was built in Ridley's likeness because the Space Dragon wanted a weapon in his own image. Incidentally, Ridley is the only boss in Super Metroid to have his entrances to his lair built in his image. Subtle visual storytelling.
@chadpeterson56983 жыл бұрын
@@GamerThumbTV me personally I think it would be a combination of both that the Space Pirates had it made by Ridley's request and by request I mean Ridley said, " you are going to build a mechanical version of me or else I will burn you alive."

Nice change to see some history behind the making of the game and lore, not just the story. Keeps it fresh and feels more like its own thing, your RE and Vania-timelines didn't focus on those aspects and that was fine of course and felt more like an animated history of those events, as if they were real.
