I've played 3 Zelda games, 3 Assassin Creed games, 2 Mortal Kombat games (Never even thought about MK lore as a child until I watched your lore vids) but I've never played Metroid & Castlevania, probably won't play them, but I do get a lot of enjoyment out of the lore, especially from Castlevania, ESP the corny dialogue, 'Away to your purpose' and 'Have at ye' and 'How is it that I'm so defeated', it's charming, so thank you very much for your work, storytellers are respectable in my book, it's why I love my pro-wrassling. But going back to Castlevania, sorry I know this a Metroid vid, but in regards of a rumored Legacy Of Kain remake, I hope that if/when it's made I hope it wont be regarded as a sort of Lords Of Shadow clone, because there are so many parallels.

Out of all the Zelda titles I've played, the only ones that I could never beat were Skyward Sword, Majora's Mask, Phantom Hourglass, and Spirit Tracks, this also includes the original Four Swords, as I have beaten every other game in each of the timelines. Timeline suggestions from me once the Metroid Timeline is done would be making a complete MegaMan Timeline(since Sigma is a part of your opening for untold legends), and quite unironically, a Kingdom Hearts Timeline(because it needs to be fully fleshed out)

I was just thinking something similar to this. There are a lot of comparisons that can be made between Metroid and Castlevania, especially remembering the fact that they're the parents between the term Metroidvania. In a way, you can see Super Metroid and Symphony of the Night as the peaks of their series. Both were held in incredible acclaim. Symphony was hard to top, and arguably, it never was, but that didn't stop it from garnering a bunch of sequels. I know Castlevania kind of fell off, a lot of the successors to Symphony were either subpar or great, but handheld, but up until their end they've always had a lot of great games because the producers never went on hiatus because they felt nothing could live up to their critically acclaimed previous entry. You know?

@@GloriousGandalf Konami makes games for profit first, artistic value second, it's just that before, artistic value equalled profits so they begrudgingly had to deal with developers and their artistic vision but now in the age of online content you get stuff like mg survive, whose monetisation system was... unique to say it kindly. Nintendo on the other hand also makes games for profit, but they also care about artistic process, since good games tend to sell for much longer, Nintendo also has the habit of innovating (which can be good like breath of the wild or galaxy, or really bad like federation force) they don't like making sequels because they know that while the fans will eat it up, innovation can also attract more people to a series. Also this might sound super weird but apparently in Nintendo you need to have a sponsor (either a higher up or a big time developer) to present your idea to the top dogs so they can give you the resources to work on a project, since there is so much ip and limited staff compared to staff, it's why stuff like metroid or pikmin take forever to get a sequel while stuff like mario and zelda always have a spot, they take the lions share of developers, also let's not forget they are a company, if one of their products (mario kart) dominates the market, releasing a possible rival (f zero) would be the financial equivalent of shooting yourself in the foot, so press f for f zero

In the official instruction booklet that came with Metroid Prime, it states that after Metroid Zero Mission, the pirates split their remaining forces into 2 groups. One group used the 3 frigates to search the galaxy for a new planet to build a new FOB, like you said. But the other group stayed behind to rebuild their main Zebes base and restore Mother Brain.

That'll be covered in a future video but alot of that lore has changed. Instruction manuals are only really relevant to that time. Look at some of the info in old NES manuals, some of it is way off by today's standards.

Also, in the Pirate Data within Prime it states the Space Pirates assumed all ground personnel on Zebes were dead and they were looking for a new base. So the instruction manual conflicts with the final game itself. Instruction manuals are never a good source for up to date information.

Metroid Prime was first game to ever play i didn't know so much at that time cause I was a little kid trying to have good time but I got myself beaten through some of these bosses and enemies and I just rage quit.. so now years later in the present I finally understand it now throughout your whole video of what happened to Samus plus the birth of Dark Samus as well but I didn't know who that was because I only played Metroid Prime 2 in a Demo version only I never played the full game of it like the first one.. Same with Prime 3.. I did played Metroid Hunters but I had tricky time on how to Control Samus in the Nintendo DS..

Game STILL looks gorgeous, even by today's standards. If Nintendo does not somehow get the Metroid Prime Trilogy on the Switch BEFORE Metroid Prime 4 comes out, they're missing a huge moneymaking opportunity. I don't care if they just port MPT from the Wii over, or if they do a GC/Wii compilation like with Mario 3D All Stars. One thing I DEFINITELY don't want, though: do NOT release a compilation of the 3 games, but only have the first one on the cartridge. Make all 3 fit on a single cartridge. I'd pay $60 with no problem for MPT on the go.

And if Metroid Prime 4 is after Fusion then the (maybe) new trilogy of game Metroid Prime 4 up to 6 must taking place between Fusion and Dread. Like they did with the first batch of game happening between Metroid (1) and Metroid (2).

The X aren't known to anyone until Fusion, and all Phazon is gone from the universe as of Prime 3 when Phaaze was destroyed. There's no possible point where the two could've interacted with each other.

I have a personal theory about why it is Samus seems to frequently ditch her upgraded equipment and it has nothing to do with orders from Adam (Frankly speaking i hate the idea of Samus taking orders from someone when she's an independent agent). I believe that the upgrades are taxing on her body and mind. That sure, the gravity suit and extra weapons are great additions but I believe it has a kind of "overclock" aspect to it that isn't shown in games. Having those add-ons wears at Samus mentally and physically and it's one thing to be using them in a dangerous situation on a planet but once she's out of danger they have to be removed outright, not just switched off, taken away totally or it could start causing permanent damage.

That theory is shot down by the fact that she keeps a LOT of her gear from Prime 1 into Prime 2, namely her strongest weapon upgrade, the Power Bomb, which you can see she has by checking the Inventory.

If my theory regarding the origin of the Phazon is correct, then maybe the entity behind it actually tried to use the Metroid Prime as a bridge into our dimension, taking Samus's form to interact with the 3rd dimension. Whatever deeds she performed weren't out of evil. It was simply her trying to adapt to the new environment. I wonder, if she tried to take Samus as a sort of a role model, what would she have learned ? What part of Samus would she have carried ?

I´m pretty sure the Metroid Prime never was in the clutches of space pirates. That is just a mistake in the old versions of the game and was revised in the newer versions. The Chozo barrier is impenetrable, so most likely Metroid Prime arrived on the planet with the meteor. Since one of the pirate logs mention that they sensed a new powerful life-form inside the impact crater that they could not pass through. Also Metroids encountered in Metroid Prime are Tallon Metroids. Weaker variants most likely mutated from Phazon that have lost their immunity to weapons and are smaller than proper Metroids. Also I think Metroid Prime is not a Metroid at all, or if it is, it is a Phazon Metroid from Phaaze.

Much of this is explained in the video. And a meteor never hit Tallon IV. It was a Leviathan so the Metroid didn't come with it.

@@GamerThumbTV Yes it most likely was a leviathan, though most likely this leviathan was much different from the ones in Prime 3 because apparently Dark Samus changed the Leviathans quite a bit when it took over Phaaze. I suppose it is a mystery what life form Metroid Prime is and when did it get there, since there is no way it would have gotten inside the crater after the Chozo erected the barrier. However AFAIK there were no Metroids in Tallon IV until the pirates bought them, unless the Chozo had some Metroids from SR388 (don't see why they would though.) Entertaining video tho. Good job.

Your theory is a little off with Metroid prime. The space pirates didn’t start to copy samus’s power beam tech until after she arrived on planet, so it’s impossible for Metroid primes beam abilities to be from the space pirates. It’s far more likely that Metroid prime got that tech from chozo artifacts considering how well incorporated it is by the time you meet prime. We know for a face that the wave ice and plasma beam technologies were already on the planet since Samus gets them so it isn’t unreasonable to assume there were multiples of each on Talon IV. As well as a power beam ofc.

Don't mean to be that guy, but you literally can't get to Thardus without going through at least the first half-ish of the Phendrana Base, as you need Super Missiles to access its boss chamber. And even then, most players are likely to go through all of the base to get Thermal Visor, making it possible to see the Wave Beam target to get into the chamber as well as the cloaked weakpoints on Thardus' body. The progression of Phendrana Part 1 would be her going through the base first and learning about the Pirate experiments before facing Thardus.
