Young Kenny, my friend. Being 44, let me help you out a bit here. What the Miami Heat have in Jimmy Butler is an End of the First Round (fought and clawed, nothing came easy) pick, who the WORST can be said was he held his team mates accountable for their EFFORT every where he went while giving maximum effort himself. Some tried to label that a 'Bad Team Guy'... umm, that's a PERFECT TEAM GUY. He's fused now on a Team with Udonis Haslam, a Blue Collar Leader, and a HC that puts Team first. The Heat fights, claws, scraps, they EARN it. It's hard work and leadership. It's PURE Basketball. The Celtics whine, argue with Refs (while the Heat score during the argument) and think each is a Star and the Team is beneath them. This should surprise NO ONE.
@nightpandas7178 Жыл бұрын
Here's what happened, Spolestra shut down the one dimensional offense of the Celtics (drive or 3) and Mazulla never came up with an offensive counter. With their offense shut down their spirit broke and they stopped believing they could win and then they stopped trying all together The Celtics did it to the Sixers and the Heat did it to the Celtics. When a one dimensional offense meets a competent defensive adjustment it causes a total collapse in the post season and we've seen with the Sixers that it has massive consequences for their roster and leadership

The only way a team in my mind will come back from 3-0 is: 1. The Celtics exact situation of a team with immense depth forgetting to show up and a star player who has the consistency of weather in spring and 2. The main star players are injured for the first 3 games but then come back with the best game you ever seen to make it 3-1 silencing the opponents and then take this mental momentum to drive past while the other team's nerves get the best of them (they would also probably need to choke game 5 for moments to carry) or 3. Number 2 except the team up 3-0 gets there star players hurt and were never favored to begin with (and maybe coached by doc rivers to secure enough bad luck + choking hazard potential).

I’ve never been actually embarrassed to be a Celtics fan until now. I’ve seen PLENTY more painful losses in my 15+ years rooting for this team, but idk if I can think of a loss more truly humiliating than the one last night. now we’re left with so many questions going into the off-season. I have no idea what can or should be done to improve the team from here because ON PAPER they should easily be talented enough to win a title. it probably sounds goofy but it seems like we have everything we need as far as talent goes but basically nothing in terms of the intangibles or culture that got us 2 games away from winning it all last year. PAIN. also Joe Mazzulla is not a good coach at all, and he’s not supposed to be. he’s a 34 year old with only division II coaching experience that was never supposed to be in this position in the first place. there’s no way the front office fires him and goes forward with a FOURTH coach in four seasons, so we’re likely stuck with him and just going to have to root for him and pray he acclimates to NBA coaching much faster starting next year.

I think the Celtics just have too many drafted players, hard to win with players like that

For what you said. I’m subscribing. Thank you for admitting you were wrong and giving the Heat some respect.

Word! Things were looking so improbable early for Miami to be where they are right now....... That's just incredible work. They complete the job and go all the way it'll be legendary

This just proves standings mean virtually nothing. The best team in the East is the 8th seed.

The Heat's excellent coaches, culture, and competitiveness has exposed these top teams for being little more than paper tigers. I think there's a lot of teams that are gonna take a look at this run next year and rebuild not just their roster, but their organizations.

as a bball nerd, a Nuggets/Heat matchup would be amazing. both of them constantly run sets and make in-game adjustments. they play perfect team ball.

I'm not sure I'd go that far but I'd love to see Knicks Celtics to see just how soft Boston is. The heat are better but this team is just mentally not ready to get punched.

the NYK did make the actual full-on NBA Finals not just the conference finals but a lot of people count it as lesser than because it was the shortened holdout season
