What is the biggest difference between the S9 (COB) and S3 (CSP)? And for your MX-5, which would you prefer to have?

It's the technology and the manufacturer. Light output and color is very very similar, so I'd suggest that you just get the cheapest one available!

Coming up soon are lots more vlogs/mods regarding the Miata, as well as lots of announcements, and probably touge/track vlogs! Comment with your ideas for future videos!

Thanks for testing this out. I just placed an order for the S3 9006 for my MX-5. Though what are your thoughts on its longevity? I currently have aftermarket HIDs installed in my MX-5 and would like to replace them with the S3 9006. Though I was told aftermarket LEDs don't last that long (ie. less than a year etc). Your thoughts?

You're welcome, I'm glad I've helped in one way or another. I've been using auxbeam leds as high beams for a couple of months and they didn't fail or degrade at all (the reason I switched back to halogen was improper beam a.k.a. they didn't light up far, but all over the place). So they've been fairly reliable for me. On top of that, Auxbeam offers a year of warranty, so they should be worth their money. They cost around the same as a pair of brand name high-performance halogens (like night breakers), are brighter and come with a year of warranty. Something to note is that these bulbs get quite hot, and they get cooled down by the small fan at the back of them. If that fan gets jammed or stops working, you can kiss your bulbs goodbye, so make sure the fan isn't blocked at all. I'd expect them to last at least many years IF the fan doesn't break!
Did all of those bulbs fit with the dust covers without a problem, or did you have to modify the covers? I know it's pretty cramped where the low beams go in, and I was worried about the dust covers not getting back on with the gold bulbs

are these plug n play?

LEDs do not have the HOT SPOT, this is bad because it does not give you as much light DOWN ROAD, so you will not be able to see as far as with halogen or HIDs

Wasn't your Miata broken hahahaha next year i can finally buy the mk4 gti 20V-T

It still is. It can start up and move, however it's got a headgasket failure and very low compression. It's a 80 horsepower ticking time bomb essentially! You can also check out the Ibiza 20VT, cheaper and lighter = faster!
