I will never forget the vision of Michael Carabello sitting majestically behind his Congas on stage with Santana. Musically and visually, Michael Carabello was an essential member of Santana! I loved Michael's delicate tone on the Congas! "Singing Winds, Crying Beasts" is just mesmerizing! When Abraxas came out, I was impressed on how exotic it sounded. It was very innovative! When Michael departed, a chapter in the story of Santana came to an end. Michael wrote and helped write a couple of my all~time favourite Santana tracks which are "Singing Winds, Crying Beasts" and "No One To Depend On". I wish the interviewer had asked Michael about the "Attitude" and "Giants" projects. I dig Michael's playing on "Pancho Villa" on the "Giants" album! Blessings To You Michael!
