I love all the little references to “Kiki’s Delivery Service” in this episode. Moomintroll’s Japanese VA was also the voice of Kiki, while Little My’s Japanese VA voiced Jiji the cat (which makes the scene where Moomintroll and Little My are flying on the broom together very amusing). Also, the way Alicia was animated when taking off on the broomstick in Moomintroll’s dream resembles how Kiki looks when she starts her flights. On a different note, the winter visuals in this episode are downright gorgeous!

I just watched the episode, the little creatures that come to celebrate christmas are clearly drinking wine at the end of the episode when they are all celebrating around the Moonin's tree which is probably the reason that has to be its banned from the U.S.

@BitterVoid I don't think it's "unavailable in your country" due to any US laws. There's no official version of the video on youtube so this means it was uploaded by an individual. Sometimes individuals will restrict things to their own country. Maybe for safety/paranoia. Cuz believe me... we have no problem poking fun at Christmas in the USA

BitterVoid, yeah, I still can’t believe it was blocked, but this is KZbin, so, maybe, we’ll get it soon. The episode, itself, was strange, since the first half concluded the season, perfectly, while the second half felt like an OVA or something. I’d still enjoyed it, but it is a weird episode and doesn’t add anything but more drama between Alicia, her grandmother, and the Moomins.

I gotta say, I love that you guys are uploading episodes from this series, it was my childhood, and anything related to Moomin's, like books, series and such, has a special place in my heart. Now, one thing that I would really loved to see, even though I really doubt that's ever gonna happen, is to see you guys upload the ''official'' dubbed versions of the series, like Norwegian, Swedish, Japanese, Finnish, etc... etc. I don't think that I'm the only one that dosen't enjoy the english dub that much, I don't like it because that isn't how I watched it as a kid. I grew up with the norwegian dub, and I miss watching all the episodes in norwegian. And it would be kinda cool to watch it in different languages again, without... needing to pirate it or stuff like that.

For those wondering about ep 36: I did some digging to see if I could find it somewhere to watch, so I could continue on this episode here, but I. Couldn't find anything. The only site I really found the 90s Moomin on had a link to ep 36, but the link always just redirected to a random advertiser's site, and nothing more. Since I don't trust sites like that quite so much, I high tailed it outta there instead of trying other links to see if they actually sent me to an episode or not. I haven't tried looking for English subtitled, and that'll probably be my next search, but I couldn't find the dubbed anywhere so...

Evelyn5000 It’s fun cause I’m from Sweden and the Swedish word for Christmas is ”Jul” which is the same word. I think the people back then just christianized the tradition of “Yule” and then didn’t bother changing the name haha

I love redheads considering I wish I was one. Only so much hair dye can do tho, especially with dark hair. Found one cheap dye that looked semi-natural dark red back in middle school. Can't remember the specific color it was tho, just that I think it wasn't 'bleachless'/'dark hair', but I didn't use bleach. Last I tried ended up looking purple. My conservative work field won't give me room to experiment.
