I need another season there a bit more story I think they could tell based off the books or even the 90s moomin I don't know I was really hype for season 4 didn't think we get it so soon but we did and know I feel sad caz I feel there's more that could be done with the show but maybe if I'm lucky in 10 years we'll get another moomin series that want blue balls me on character meeting and ships 😂

Honestly it felt very underwhelming, like they didn’t wrap up any of the characters very well. Snorkmaiden feels like a rather well rounded character by the end, and Moominmamma is just a scene away in my opinion, but all of the other plot lines felt a bit unresolved, especially with how much backtracking was done with snufkins arc. I was so exited hearing the show would end with comet, but I honestly think that the final episode of season three felt more resolved. It didn’t feel like a genuine threat to anyone but Snork until the very end, which really under cut the story they were trying to achieve of facing fears and community. Long story short it was enjoyable and comforting, like anything moomin, but not a wonderful wrap up.

soo disappointed man, all the character development was totally gone especially with moomintroll which is crazy, whole season just felt like they threw everything they built up in the last seasons out the window. gah its like they totally got lazy, there was so much love poured into the last seasons and this one just feels so bland. also im pissed about joxter and snufkin not meeting (why would they not make that happen??) and snufkin just being super absent in general. what the fart ygs!

Bad and lazy writing lol. I don't mind snorkmaiden and Moomin being cannon but they had so much conflict left to work out. Snufkins character development being pushed aside in favor of sniff because comedic relief is a safe option. Using fillers with sniff instead of using that time to have meaningful reactions like with the joxter and snufkin. The comet episode was ughhhh too. The book was all about the fear of losing creation at a moments notice and a love song from Tove to nature and this episode lacked that. Tove had Snufkin break down and sob when the ocean disappeared in the books to show her agony at the thought of the world being taken away, and they cut that emotion to nothing. And they made fun of the hemulin for wearing a dress and being girly for it!!! Did they do any research!? The whole reason hemulins wear dresses is because Tove wanted the garment to be ungendered and for the valley to lack so much gender norm when it comes to clothing. UGHHHHHHHHHHG AND WHAT WAS WITH THE LONLEY MOUNTAIN SCENE IN SEASON THREE HUH. I SWEAR THE SEASON THREE WRITERS HAD DIFFERENT PLANS THAN THESE ONES. Okay I'm done now.

Snufkin not meeting Joxter and Snufmin not being canon is gonna be my villian origin story. Although, (even if it didn't go anywhere) I feel like this series wasn't subtle about moomin + snuf, which i still appreciated. You could cut the rainbow tension with a knife.

I keep getting my hopes up, especially since even the writers themselves have commented on the fact that they might be more than friends, but they never do anything with it. This season had so many moments that just felt like personal attacks to me as a Moomin fan. Snufkin and Moomin barely spend any time together, the side characters I never liked have too much screen time, and JOXTER AND SNUFKIN NEVER GET TO MEET AND HUG LIKE THEY DID AT THE END OF THE ORIGINAL BOOK. This show was so disappointing and felt so rushed and flat in many places. I wish there was a stronger story arc that connected all of the episodes and that we got to see more dynamic characters in the franchise like Mymble Jr (my favorite Moomin character) or Muddler/Fuddler rather than the characters Tove quickly retired from her books like Snork, that random Hemulen, or the Muscrat.

How did Stinky x Sniff get confirmed before snufmin 😐 like- All joking aside though, I could really sense that the writers were trying to appeal to their main demographic, which is kids. Moominvalley was a wonderful show, but it’s slow pace and hidden themes don’t exactly appeal to the gen alpha ipad babies. I think that’s why this season felt so out-of-element from the others. I mean it didn’t even follow the same episode structure!! Agh I’m so disappointed....I hate to be so cynical but I would have been much happier with the three earlier seasons if it means the show is still somewhat the same show! I mean it’s fine that the Joxter showed up but y’all please don’t let the fanservice get in the way of the awkward writing and somehow even less subtle messages. It’s okay to be critical of the things you like.

Was I the only one who heard the first few notes of the record Moominpappa put on and thought I was about to get Rickrolled? Silly stuff aside, the one thing I got spoiled about this season was that Joxter and Snufkin weren't going to meet. When I heard that, I was a bit disappointed, but was like, "Alright, cool, maybe Snufkin just isn't going to be around much, or Joxter isn't going to stay long" and assumed that they'd just kinda exist without mention of each other. And then I watched episode 11 and got angry lol. I usually don't mind the trope of two people just barely missing meeting with each other as long as they _actually_ get to reunite at the end, which, they...didn't do. To be honest it kind of feels like they're trying to leave things unfinished so they can get a chance to make a season 5 or something. Honestly, the adaptation for Comet in Moominland was very underwhelming to me. There wasn't really any true sense of danger, even when the comet did turn to face Moominvalley. Also, no stilt walking across the dried-up ocean! And no Snufkin emotional breakdown. Sniff's idea to reverse engineer the sun oil was smart, but the reason behind it...was pretty stupid (but very 2019 Sniff-like). Also the ending with the Groke putting out the comet was one I thought of halfway-through as a joke. It felt very weird having that be how it actually ended...and we don't get to see her afterwards even though she's supposedly okay. Also, episode 8 specifically was a bit of a slog for me. The Moomin-Snufkin-Sniff-Woodies plot was just overall annoying to me. I didn't mind Little My and Tootiky's plot, though. That one was fine. Definitely an episode I will not rewatch anytime soon. Overall, I had high-hopes for this season, but my mood slowly got brought down more and more as it went on. The best things that happened this season were Joxter's introduction (and later reuniting with Mymble), and Moominpappa swearing. If by some miracle they end up making a season 5, I hope they do a lot better, because this ain't it, man. Edit since I made it to the end of the video: So they ARE doing another thing! I really hope the movie's better. Also, I forgot to say that, I'm super neutral on Snufmin, but my gosh did it feel like they teased the audience a lot. All that build-up in the first three seasons and then...nothing.

It ends with moominmama and moomin holding hands with snorkmaiden walking in front of them. Then, a big rainbow appears. I look at this as them leaving it open-ended with moomin not committing to anyone yet. After all, snufkin does need to prove himself to moomin. I see it as them leaving that door open, and I like it a lot more than I was expecting to.

I think the biggest issue for me is that in spite of how metaphorical the series has been it has always also been very character-focused so to have an entire season with few if any meaningful character interactions and then end with just "oh yay the comet's done let's go party!" and an admittedly very beautiful shot feels SO underwhelming

THIS SEASON, OMG I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS!!! I tried so badly to hold out hope for more Snufmin bonding time but I was just let down. And then let down again because why in the world does Snufkin not get to meet his fricking father!?? I was honestly disappointed but I'm glad to of at least seen the Joxter. Though with all the honesty with lonely mountain, I had so much hope that maybe, just maybe we will actually get something Snufmin related but aaaaaarrrggg!!! I personally felt while in some parts the lighting was good but other times the modles seemed off?? Things felt much more stiff to me. I agree because why was there so much Sniff. I just told myself that I'll just wait for the next season because they surely would actually give the people what they want, correct?? but then I find out this is THE LAST SEASON???!!!1 This season I had such hopes for but I really didn't enjoy it being the finale. I wanted so much more but knowing there's a movie in the works makes me want to try very hard to have hope that'll be a better send-off. (please dont let me down yall)

I, personally, did not enjoy Season 4. It felt more (trying to find just the right word) juvenile or less thought out. It was as though the writers left out all the comfort and warmth and more gags were put in for the little ones. Moomin and Snuffkin hardly had enough interactions in the other seasons to explain why Moomin missed him so much every time he went away, to begin with. Here, it’s more about some silly nonsense than about personal experiences put into metaphor. And forget all those lovely songs, no melodic singing roles this season. It was disappointing and confusng. Budgeted and gotten overwith, I feel. Very sad.

I finally got around to rewatching the final season for 2019 version I like you and many others I just feel underwhelmed I know some people like this season but I hated it there wasn't a lot of snufkin in this season and that's what turned a lot of people on myself off because he's always been my favorite since I got into this show I don't know why they couldn't have made mooomin and snufkin a thing in this version because I believe like you said and many others this isn't the 90s anymore we could have done it and on top of it what we got with moomin troll and snorks made in this season just felt like they added it just to show hey we're keeping them as a couple and that's the only reason we had like certain episodes in a few moments with them doing certain things I do like what they did with Moomin mama and I really like stinky in this adaptation along with snork as well I admit I never really paid that much attention to Moomin papas he's on okay character for me I feel like at times he was overshadowing his son a bit And I don't get the point of even having Joxter show up as he and his son weren't ever going to even meet I was so pissed when I saw this this was the spoiler I saw on Twitter I didn't even know the season was out at this time cuz I had saw the trailer the day before and I figured oh maybe in a few weeks we were going to get it and then the next thing I know people were dropping links to Google docs so people could watch it And spoilers were just all in my timeline which is crazy cuz usually I don't get stuff for mv me timeline like that but when someone posted that Joxter was in this season I got so excited and then I saw the rest of the clip and saw that he and his son didn't meet at all and that he didn't even meet little my either I was just so sad and disappointed I don't know why they couldn't have done it maybe they couldn't pay his voice actor maybe some animation had to be cut for something maybe if they do make a movie down the road like in a year or a few years or maybe we'll get like a special episode in their meat cuz what was the point of him being here if they weren't going to meet 😭 There was too much sniiff this season and I remember talking about this with someone on Tumblr cuz I made a post about this season on there and one person I talked to said they had got their hopes up when it was the episode when snufkin snuck into the house during the winter and it was just going to be him and Moomin troll and I got so excited hoping maybe they would get to spend winter alone and maybe we would just see bits and pieces throughout the episode is little my had her own plot going on or whatever and we would skip to the next episode and be spring and maybe if I was lucky they would be a couple and he would break up with snorkeling I got my hopes up I knew it was going to happen but everything that happened in the episode just upset me especially with sniff This kind of didn't even feel like a final season and then comet in moomin valley was okay I give it a 4 out of 10 honestly I like the original version better from the books and even the movie we got from the 90s it honestly felt like they just added the episode because they had to because it's a part of the story and that's it it just didn't feel like it had that much impact sadly I'm really hoping that someday maybe in a few years maybe 4 or maybe 5 maybe 10 we'll get another adaptation

Honestly, the worst season out of 4. Solely because of the potential it had and how they screwed it up. So many characters, best animation out of all of the seasons yet despite after years of waiting it felt rushed and unfinished. Also too much screentime for secondary flat (no development) characters like Sniff
