You, my dear, are a wordsmith. You create entire worlds with words alone. I applaude you. "And there, in the chair, was a child the color of snowflakes and moonbeams." And the way you speak of her eyes... chef's kiss. What a magical way of evoking an image you have. Thereto, when you speak of the preparation of teatime & meals, and all the plant varieties in forests & gardens. Your admiration of creative arts & artists are keenly evident. You have a gentille flair from times long past, I suspect. Please sir, may I (we) have more?

This is a wonderful story, Tony! It is well-written and narrated. You describe the countryside in such wonderful detail. I felt like I was trapsing through our woods while I was growing up while l listened. The sounds, sights, and sounds are amazing. I grew up in Pennsylvania, very far geographically from this. However, the area is just as beautiful. Thanks for taking me back to the joy and beauty of the days of my wonderful childhood! This story really made me smile.

A fine story. I couldn't help thinking of how my youngest child looked like he was a fairy, much as your milk white girl. My husband is Irish and I am of Irish stock. As a toddler he had snow white hair and milky skin. His green/ blue eyes slanted slightly and his body was slender with long delicate fingers. We live in Australia not the best place for such a child to grow. He is now a big hairy 35 year old with freckles from the relentless sun. I was trying to imagine fairies here but this land, with all it's amazing variations, wouldn't, even in fantasy produce such delicate milky beings. I hope now that your summers have come to resemble ours they don't vanish from Albion's shores.

I loved this story so, so, so, so, SO MUCH. I have tears in my eyes from it----and just at the end, when the man sees his gift from the faeries---there was like a "doubling up" in my perceptions, that was almost deja vu...but not quite. And I felt the Truth of your story's words move through my heart...and recognizing that sensation, the simple nobility of this tale brought my tears. I thank you, humbly.

Hi Tony. I appreciate the escapism of a faery tale, and how easy it could be to find yourself in another world with the beautiful but possibly dangerous Fae Folk. Isn't it what story telling is all about? Losing yourself in other realities? This was a cracking one, well done, Tony, you're a star!

I didn't even realize that until you said that! lol Tony, great story, in fact, it's probably my favorite story of yours thus far! I love the little details about the Portmeirion. The only reason I even had a remote idea what that is is because this ex-bf of mine whose father was a Professor and had a sabbatical in Wales, his wife brought home several pieces of Portmeirion! This was 1996. It was so beautiful! Great story, again, and I really hope that you're able to devote all your time to your podcast and quit your day job! I listened to everything you said on the longer story that you uploaded a few days ago. I was listening to you talk about how you went to Russia of all places back in 1982! and had a little run in with the police etc. I'm glad you made it back in one piece! Wow, you've had some adventures in your life! I've been overseas too but that is quite a trip! Thank you for including us in your life's adventures and so on.
