Although it’s independent of what the meaning of the song is to me, this part of mind electric feels like it’s the last cry for help of someone who is going insane with no one being able to help him after he’s been spiraling into depression and insanity for the rest of the song before it. The final part makes me think that this cry for help was unsuccessful. The return of the original melody and how it has a much more eerie optimism sounds like either acceptance or a rejection of their own consciousness.

This part just reminds me of nes games mainly the second Zelda game and metroid the laughing reminds me of Gannon (obviously) but the high toned voice reminds me of mother brain from metroid. That’s pretty apt, given the fact it has the name “Electric” in its name, and games are powered by Electricity. Maybe the focal character (I think his name is Simon?) is associating things that run off of Electricity with what he’s being subjected to, at least subconsciously.
