I like how you highlighted the "spaced safe move->back off" aspect of MKLeo's play. I remember he used it well back in 4 with his Marth by perfect pivoting back after a jab on shield to scout reactions

This was a great video. I appreciate adding examples of characters without disjoints( Peach/Fox). Because, the "spaced dodge roll distance away" was kind of hard to swallow at first since I play Capt. Falcon. After seeing your examples with Samsora and LIght. I can see how to apply this to my play.

I just recently started playing smash and wow are your videos helpful. I’ve gone from being a casual to understanding this game in depth from watching your vids. How do you not have more subs!? Edit: examples with text on screen helps so much

I found this video on a reddit comment and share it with select people who want to get better. Employing this into your gameplay will help you do so much better in tourney. I have a friend who’s won his past three tournies and beaten his demon consistently, and he says a huge part is this video!

I think this video focuses a bit too much on characters with disjoints, especially now that MkLeo mains Joker and he's had to adjust his corner pressure play to compensate for the lack of range in comparison to Lucina. Applying these techniques vs characters with big disjoints like the swordies are significantly more difficult since you have to rely more on reading your opponent and can't cover multiple options at once since you'll get beat out. A common tactic that Lucina has to get out of the corner is full hopping and then landing. If you don't react to the full hop then Lucina has a multitude of options to land since she has the air speed, disjoints, and safe aerials. But pressuring shield on Lucina and dashing back is just as difficult when you're forced to respect them throwing out hitboxes. MkLeo had this issue as Joker vs Mr. R's Chrom (who can do these similar tactics) and he had a hard time keeping him in the corner due to this. That said this video is still great for high level play, but I noticed this pretty big flaw in the video and I hope future videos will compensate for a more complete package, as players who mains non-swordies are going to have a hard time adding these pressure-based techniques.

Hi! I've been constantly watching your "The Mind Of" series through out the days and I have a question. How do I incorporate this into the aggressive playstyle in "the mind of Nairo & Light"? Great series btw very enjoyable to dissect and rewatch over and over! Hopefully you can get back to me soon :)

Idk if the summary was necessary since this is a vid not a speech, most people just skip that and if I need to rehash stuff I can just rewatch part of the vid. But having all the things written down in an easy to screenshot form is nice. I really liked the format of the vid. Cornering is something I've been working on a lot and I wish I could have seen this weeks ago lol. Despite some of it being stuff I knew, it was a really good rehash and the last bit with the examples gave me a lot of ideas. I really like how you focused on a player then expanded it to multiple other characters. Subbed and I hope to see more of this I personally have trouble with ledge trapping in this game and covering different timings, so I'd enjoy seeing a vid on it
@Poppt15 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this thoughtful comment :) Yeah the summary was mainly so people could either screenshot it/write it all down if they wanted to.
