Phenomenal video, you’re raising the skill level of the community. You break a complex, high-level skill down in a way that shows that anyone can attain that level just by fixing their habits and practicing. The slow motion breakdowns with the captions are especially helpful. Keep it up!

A video on shielding effectively in neutral would be helpful. I bet that using shields is deeper than “I’m scared to get hit because I whiffed”. Anyway thanks for the tips.
@kyle887405 жыл бұрын
Second this. I often feel stuck in shield because I shield too early or at an inappropriate time.
@Poppt15 жыл бұрын
That is a great idea and the likes back you up! I'll see what I can do :)
@cowless5 жыл бұрын
Yeah a video on that would be cool because yes there is more than just shielding to not get hit after a whiff (which should still be mixed up with other options). You can also bait shield pressure for an out of shield option (really good at kill %s) and using shield near ledge can limit your opponents recovery to stage. Mixing it all together gives you a really consistent and effective shielding method that doesn't get punished easily.

The editing is underrated. Even on the nairo and samsora clips, it’s cut in a way that the commentator finishes their sentence so it doesn’t sound weird to us

Samsora has a really interesting play style. It would be awesome to see a video on his mixups (basically Peach’s entire meta) and/or option coverage. He also “fishes” really well in neutral for his d-tilts and low% nairs and bairs. Great video! Loved how you repeated stuff verbatim so many times to really drill it in and demonstrate how play-by-play the strategy can be while also annotated unique cases that weren’t significant enough to be covered in the main video. Keep it up!

These videos are so great! Can you please do a video about how Light uses movement? I don't know how to describe it better than that at this point, but his Fox moves better than anyone else in this game and you can really see it during his Top 8 run at Glitch 7. I actually got the privilege of money matching him on Saturday after he finished doubles and it was a pretty amazing experience. The reason why I wanted to play him in particular is because I also main Fox but even though we were doing a Fox ditto he was literally running circles around me just outside my direct threat bubble and it was really fucking hard getting back on stage once he knocked me off. (That madman even footstooled me once as an edgeguard). I'd also like to add that I didn't get 3-stocked every game lmao After we played I asked for some feedback and he first thing he told me was that I needed to move more. I already knew that empty hopping and dashdancing is incredibly important as Fox in order to bait out options, but what other was does Light use movement to make my Fox feel more like my Incineroar?

Hi Pop, I have a question for neutral get up and get up attack. So let’s say I’m mkleo as fuck and going around roll distance, and then go for a grab when I see neutral get up. I looked up distances of get up attack and it seems kind of large, so how can I avoid get up attack ranges (I couldn’t find a roll distance chart to compare) while being around roll distance? I feel if I hang back too much then if I go for a dash grab on neutral get up I may be too far and they can spot dodge/roll or something and then I’ll be in disadvantage. I love your videos by the way and I definitely want to implement the concepts you went over in this video!
