I don’t understand, when you are crossing up shield with a landing aerial instead of rising. Are you supposed to aerial drift AND THEN attack, or other way around please help a fellow smasher out!
@bigliquidd5 жыл бұрын
Depends on the move you're using, you should test out the moves you want to cross up in training mode
@TriopsTrilobite5 жыл бұрын
CoolStory Brah typically if the move has a long lasting hitbox, like Wario's Nair, you can throw the move out and then drift for the cross-up. This isn't the end-all-be-all tho, you have to mix up your timings, otherwise your opponent will catch on and power shield.
@Letsgochamp-kh4wm5 жыл бұрын
Isaac Landeros ok thanks
@lmao23024 жыл бұрын
Depends on how long the move last and when you threw it out. If it last a long time drift after you threw out the move. If you're close to the ground drift first then throw out the move.

Recently came across a writeup for Hearthstone that talks about how the role you play in a game (aggressive or defensive pretty much) often depends on the matchup and I couldn't help but try to think about it in smash bros terms so I thought about this video. Wondering if it's necessary to be able to play certain characters aggressively and defensively or if it's just common knowledge that you sometimes have to play aggressive/defensive based on your opponents character/current state of the game. Don't really know where I'm going with this but I guess I wanted to know what an actually good player thinks. Here is the link to the Hearthstone writeup if you're interested and can understand it. www.reddit.com/r/CompetitiveHS/comments/899tpl/whos_the_beatdown_understanding_and_evaluating/?ref=share&ref_source=link

@Poppt15 жыл бұрын
Usually the trick with overshooting is you hit them BEFORE they have time to attack themselves. Or you can simply keep taking the stage if their retreating and eventually they won't be able to retreat anymore and you can hit them as they try to escape the corner :)
