I am a Minecraft: Story Mode lover myself, but all the criticisms in this video about it I completely understand. It also made me realize how misleading their motto of "Your choices matter". The story only ever changes for that section but the output is the same, It's a linear game disguised as a choose your own story game. Your additions or ideas at the end of the Season Two segment were really good aswell, which would actually make your choices matter in the long run, thank you for the insights, Psycho-gerg!

Ye nah. Story is good but not the best. I've read better interactive stories. And ones where some choices actually affect the story so hard that you get a whole new plotline. In addition, QTE is not gameplay. Its just a storytelling tool, not a game. Pretty much just an interactive movie. And as that, its not as good as others. Idk why you praise it aside from nostalgia.

That lever will sit in your inventory for the entire game until chapter four, where you then get a chance place it down to bypass a puzzle. Then the next time you pick up a lever, Jesse is all like. It feels very cobbled together, HITMAN 1 was with SQUARE ENIX as their publisher, so they had access to make those lovely 3d animated cutscenes and was episodic . The tone of HITMAN 1 feels slightly darker and serious. HITMAN 2 IOI became an independent publisher, so the story and the cutscenes just became animated stills which sucked! And probably impacted the choices they could make for the story. While HITMAN 3 went with Warner Bros as the publisher, so we got in engine cutscenes. Look it doesn't matter HITMAN WOA is all about the gameplay, and for that its the best in the series! But the whole illuminati ultra evil bad guys, felt silly and cartoonish to me. I think all the Hitman games struggle with their story (except for Hitman: Contracts, which has a great story because 99% is literally just a dream as 47 bleeds out)

I watched @Tehsnakers video 2 days ago, I wish I had seen it before I wrote my script. I think he does a way way way better job than me at breaking down the themes of the game, same with the walking dead. Comparing the Telltale formulae of choice as more of an illusion.
