I've feel that in my spirit! I have not had a mentor in my life since my dear Mother of the church passed away!! I realize that I don't trust many people!!! But my prayer is that the Lord opens up my eyes and shows me who should be mentoring me to get me to the next level

4 Things to look for in a mentor: 1. Character - Their character becomes your crisis. They don’t have to share your faith but they do need to share your values. They also need to be emotionally healthy and safe, they can’t be intimidated or insecure. 2. Coaching - Whatever area you need help in, they need expertise in. The quality of the relationship will be based on the quality of questions you ask. 3. Correction - People who are going to the next level must be willing to have their errors exposed. Proverbs 12:1. 4. Covering - To help you clarify what God means, to provide counsel. For interpretation and application to help you process decisions.

Going through this right now. Someone I thought was a mentor actually wasnt but God showed me. She tried to make me feel guilt n shame. I said NO that's where ur wrong once you've repented God has forgiven you...Guilt is not of God. Showing love and being positive is of God
