Early on I quit using negative film and switched to just shooting slide film. This made it easier to manage the images, plus when I'd shoot photos at indoor shows using those huge tungsten stage lights it was often needed to take the ISO400 and have it push processed to ISO800 plus including a light blue filter on the lens to counter the tungsten lights - they are primarily red and yellow.

I wanted to get some slide film last time I was at the camera shop, but they didn't have any. I may have to get some online.

@@AmericanExpatDaily The last film I shot was B&W that my son processed after a trip to western PA in August. I didn't know I was even taking a camera until he showed up the night before the trip. He pulled out my Nikon F3T with motordrive and a few lenses that he knew I'd like. I prefer ultra-wide like the Nikon 15mm (not fisheye) and lenses up to about 80mm.

I have a 16mm for my a6500. I can use it on the a7IV, but it will go into crop mode. I just picked up a Nikon film camera. Probably time to start looking at lenses again lol

@@AmericanExpatDaily By crop mode, does than suggest it becomes a 24mm effective lens? Once you experience an ultra-wide and the perspective control you gain from it, you will have lots of fun.

@@mutantryeff Not quite. It will remain 16mm, but the camera will turn off part of the sensor. So I will get the wide shot, but with lower resolution. It's convenient if you only have a lens made for an apsc camera, but the image isn't going to be all that it could be.
