I hated the Minsk and then, halfway through the grind, I started to like it. Taught me a lot. If you can play the old Minsk effectively, you might turn out to be a decent DD player.

That's how I started my DD gunboat experience. Picked up Minsk out of a crate during it's early access and I have never looked back at torpedo boats since, I even play my French DDs in a similar way with Violette at the helm!

Trubetskoy with Vincent mordorf and ding rushang give me a reload down to 3,1 sec on minsk. And with the motar slot on give more firepower and damage, but a 7 km concealment. But dosent matter becorse I play it like a cruiser with full speed 44,3 kt. So it have the fire rate like a benson and the kidd, minus traverse speed of guns on 17 sec. With tnt on. Its a good gunboat now.

First of all happy holidays...just today i had a game with the Minsk (with Makarov at the helm) and the most noteworthy was out manoevering a closeby torp strike and reload from an Asassio (ok, ok I know, not the Kidd or anything...but still) on a cap. Ruddershift a rediculous 1.8 sec....

It was a real pain to grind minsk the way it was before. So much more playable now.

Torpedoes on this line are best used against enemy dds imo. They are quite fast hand one or two torp hits will kill a full hp dd

I just started playing the Minsk, do u build into the concealment or just guns. I'm using Vincent Mordoulph and Sims as inspiration and the guy w the beard as main .

I managed to unlock the Tashkent before the buff. I thought the Minsk was okay and it was decent against other destroyers.

I always kind of liked the Gnevny and the Minsk. I definitely think the Gnevny was power crept in the last update when Fushun entered the chat. Now Gnevny (and Minsk) are a little more relevant. I’m happy with the buffs in general this update, especially the Kansas!

Good overview, M’lord ! My only concern is that, with the change to reload .. the DPM of both Minsk AND Gnevny (which also got the massive boost to fire rate that Minsk got)… comes close to our even exceeds Tier-7 Tashkent now !? I checked my Trubes’ build on Minsk and with Observant Rage in Row 1, plus the Turret Turn module - which slightly lowers reload - Minsk shows 3.4 second reload on its 5 cannons. That exact same setup on Tashkent shows 4.6 second reload on Tash’s 6 cannons. If my math is correct, Tash ends up around 148-150,000 HE DPM and Minsk is sitting at (as you noted) 167-170,000 HE DPM !!? Why is the Tier-6 DD exceeding the DPM of the Tier-7 ? Mayhap the Devs can ever so slightly tune down the Minsk buff such that it still is improved, but still allows Tashkent to exceed it a smidge ? Your thoughts ? 🤔 PS - Did the same calculations on Gnevny’s 4 gun barrels and it comes to 134,000 HE Dpm now. So, Tash at Least still beats the Tier-5 … though not by much 😅!

Wow minsk coming a long way. Loved it as a fire starter destroyer, now 6km torps has me drooling to take her out from port.

If you think the Minsk is good you should go play the Gnevy. It got the exact same buffs as Minsk and can be paired against t4 bbs lol. First game back in the buffed Gnevy was 2k base in a loss...feels like a brand new bote

loved the gnevny and got the minsk, immediate hate towards the ship, major skill issue on my part seeing as i'm used to smokesneaking gunboats like fletcher and akizuki
