"Graphene cannot be turned off" I think we need more context for this statement, by itself it makes no sense.
@virileagitur74037 ай бұрын
It makes perfect sense. In order to run a computer you need at least two states: on and off. This can be represented by a 1 and a 0. Fluctuating between these states is what allows electronics to work. So graphene is like if every little part of a computer was always turned on or in the 1 position. Without the ability to be "turned off" graphene cannot be used for binary calculations and thus cannot replace silicon.

The light transmittance of graphene with a thickness of 0.2 nm is 97.7%, which decreases by 2.3% when one layer increases, and the light transmittance becomes 0 at 44 layers and becomes black. 1mm thick graphite becomes 5,000,000 layers of graphene, if it is 1㎛ thick, it becomes 5000layers of graphene, if it is 0.1㎛, it becomes 500layers, and if it is 0.01㎛, it becomes 50layers of graphene. In other words, if it feels black with the naked eye, it is graphite that is out of the international standard of graphene.

Graphene is indeed wonder material of 21st century ! Graphene has various applications but the world first water grade graphene is discovered in Russia and have worlds first graphene water filter which clean water in its purest height. Allow me to introduce that The basic element of the HRCM Graphene water filters is the new carbon material "Carbon mixture of high reactivity "HRCM” is produced on the basis of the discovery, Diploma author V.I.Petrik and consists of graphenes and their associates. As shown by numerous studies conducted in the USA, Germany, India, Russia and other countries, HRCM has previously unattainable sorption properties and surpasses the best CAG (coconut coal) sorbents in the world by dozens of times, and the most dangerous hydrocarbon pollutants today by 140 times. The industrial production of graphene sorbent, the method of purifying water, water surfaces based on it are protected by patents in 46 countries of the world, including the USA, US 7, 842, 271 B2 "Mass production of carbon nanostructures", dated 7.12. 2004, American patent: US 2003/0024884A1 06/02/2003”, European patent No. EP1247856, dated 09/16/2009, Eurasian patent No. 002579, dated 06/27/2002, inventor V.I. Petrik. Evolutionary properties of filtering systems based on graphene sorbent HRCM ZF 10 Graphene sorbent has unique properties, unattainable before for existing sorbents, which ensure complete extraction of any known viruses from water, water purification from a wide range of bacteria. This phenomenon was established as a result of systematic studies of the antiviral, antimicrobial properties of HRMS conducted in the following specialized institutions since 2011: - NIITs (MBZ) FGU, GosNIIVM of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, conclusion dated 1.31.2011. - WATER-GEN LABORATORY, Israel, conclusion dated 04/04/2018. - Institute of Microbiology and Virology. D.K.Zabolotny NAS Ukraine, conclusion dated 24.3.2020. - NATIONAL WATER AND SEWERAGE CORPORATION CENTRAL LABORATORY - BUGOLOBI, Africa, conclusion dated 15.01.2018. - Qualichem Laboratories, Nagpur, India, from 10.8.2019. Antiviral, antibacterial properties of HRMS are provided by its unique structure. One of the technological achievements of the author is the processing of graphenes obtained by a cold, autocatalytic method in a strong electromagnetic field, which leads to the formation of onion-type graphene structures with their own positive charge. The smallest particles not dissolved in water, including viruses, are extracted from water by electrostatic forces. Since 1998, in the largest scientific organizations in Russia, the USA, Europe, India, comparative tests of the biological activity of tap water purified on graphene sorbents HRMS produced by Golden Formula Holding LLC and water from natural sources Evian, San Pellegrino have been carried out. Tests showed a pronounced advantage in the ability to exercise in athletes (Olympic reserve RV), an increase in running and swimming endurance in animals, an increase in seedlings and shoot size in plants that took water purified on the basis of graphene sorbent HRMS for a month. A phenomenal phenomenon in nature - a birch tree, watered for three months with water purified on the HRCM sorbent, retained its leaves with the onset of winter. The tests were carried out at BRUNSWICR Laboratories USA, BioBoston Contrakt Laboratories USA, Institute of Toxicology Russia, National Toxicology Center, India, Palacky University, Olomouc, Czech Republic, and at the Timiryazev Moscow Agricultural Academy.

If it's so strong then why don't you pick up a sheet and show it to us? You show it stopping a bullet, but is that one layer at one atom thick stopping a bullet? or many, many layers stacked? If we could even see it in a classroom setting, that would be great. I personally don't know a single person who has actually had a gram of this material to touch or even look at. For all we know this could be another bs pipe dream. It's obviously extremely difficult to make in any quantity. It's like nuclear fusion to make electricity. It's always 30yrs away
