I was born and raised in Portugal but live in the states now. My daughter almost died when she was 3. They had told me to make preparations for her funeral. I could not except that. My mom went to Fatima and crawled on her knees and prayed for my daughter and today she is 28 years old with a child of her own. My husband and I went to Fatima on the anniversary of her first apparition . We witnessed thousands and thousands of people crawling into Fatima. The church was filled to overflowing. The most amazing sign of Faith possible. People praying for healing. We left there feeling we had witnessed a miracle. The Blessed Mother is asking us to pray the rosary. Such a simple request. She is the human who brought all of us our salvation. Christ is salvation, and Mother Mary brought Him to us. 3. She said “yes” to God. If you’ve read Holy Scripture, you know how few people in history have done this. People want to know if it’s really God speaking, or what they will get out of it, or they do not want to do it because it will cause them discomfort. Mother Mary did none of this. She immediately said “yes” to God knowing full well the gravity of the decision with exactly no hesitation. Of the very few to plainly say “yes” in history, she was the only human to say “yes” without hesitation. 4. In Holy Scripture we learn that humankind is made slightly below the angels in terms of All Creation. However, when the Archangel Gabriel visits Mother Mary, he calls *her* the blessed one! Before he even asks of her what God wants of her! Clearly she is of the most righteous. 5. When Mother Mary visits her cousin Elizabeth, it is the sound of Mother Mary’s voice that makes John the Baptist jump in Elizabeth’s womb. 6. And as Mary approaches her, Elizabeth says “who am I that the mother of my Lord should visit?” This is actually Elizabeth echoing the words of King David when the Ark of the Covenant came to him. The Ark of the Covenant contained the Old Testament, the original covenant that God made with Israel. Mother Mary contains within herself the New Testament, the new covenant God made with humanity. 7. When the Archangel Gabriel tells Mother Mary that she is going to give birth to the Son of God, she says “Behold, for all generations will call me blessed!” And this we have done without stop for two thousand years now. 8. The Blood of Jesus is sacred. It is what he shed during the crucifixion. During her pregnancy, Mother Mary shared blood with Christ Jesus for nine months. If touching just the hem of Christ’s garment can heal, then imagine what sharing his blood for nine months symbolizes. 9. Mother Mary contained within herself the uncontainable God. 10. In the story of the Wedding at Cana, it is Mother Mary’s request that prompts our Lord to turn the water into wine. This is the very first recorded miracle in the Gospel. 11. There are references to Mother Mary all throughout Scripture. Her presence is in the story of our salvation from the very beginning. 1 Kings 2:19 tells us that it is King Solomon’s mother, the Mother Queen, stood at his right side. Every king in the Davidic line is mentioned with their mother at coronation. The role of the Mother Queen is a position and title in the court. As we both know well, our Lord is from the line of David. A central job of the Queen Mother was to present the issues that the people had to her son, the king. We Christians echo this exactly as we ask for Christ’s mercy through his mother. 12. Psalm 45 praises God through analogies of a king. There it mentions a queen standing at his right side. The queen of course being the mother of the king. However, in this psalm, this queen that is being talked of is also said to be the daughter of the king! Since all men are sons to God, our Father, and all women are daughters to God, our Father, and this king is the Messiah, it all perfectly connects. Mother Mary is Christ Jesus’s Queen Mother, but also His daughter as He Himself is God, and Mother Mary is His creation, His daughter. How beautiful is that? 13. Revelation 12:1 tells us something incredible. There is a reference to a woman “clothed with the sun,” “the moon at her feet,” and “twelve star crown adorning her head” (the twelve apostles). The early Christian leaders immediately knew this was Mother Mary that Saint John saw in his revelation epistle. This is why we call her the Queen of Heaven. 14. It is verifiable that the Christian love of Mother Mary has been going on since the beginning of Christianity. Saint Irenaeus was a third generation Christian bishop (130 AD) who was the disciple of Saint Polycarp, who was the disciple of Saint John, who was the disciple of Christ Jesus. We have Irenaeus’ writings and we consider them holy and authoritative to a degree (less than Scripture). Irenaeus calls Mother Mary the Second Eve. Christ Jesus is obviously the Second Adam, we already know that from Scripture, specifically Saint Paul’s epistles. 15. All Christians, everywhere, for all time can agree on at least one thing: Christ Jesus was the greatest man. Obviously he was God, too, but he was the greatest example of masculinity to have ever been. Any man who wants to be a real man has the example of Christ Jesus to follow. Where then is the greatest example of femininity? Who out of all humanity has shown the finest example of what it means to be a woman? Mother Mary, of course. 16. The First Adam and the First Eve messed up. The Second Eve makes up for the mistake of the First Eve, and the Second Adam redeems humanity from the mistakes of both of them. 17. When Christ Jesus handed over Mother Mary to Saint John, this represents our Lord formally handing over His mother to us, humanity, because John was not related to Him by blood, so John is like any one of us. As a sidenote, since we know John wasn’t related in any way to our Lord, that’s how we know for a fact that He was an only born. In those times if you were leaving or dying, you would give your mother to your next oldest brother. This is all to say that she is our Mother too. 18. Noah and the rest of life within the arc is Jesus within Mary. Not everyone’s prayers are worth the same, in fact every human’s prayers are worth different amounts to God Almighty. The prayers of someone who has the utmost conviction in the Lord and serves His children with pure kindness has a much better relationship with God than an ideological atheist who just murdered a few people and doesn’t care to repent. Like it or not, these two people’s prayers are not worth the same to God. A prayer is simply communication. A prayer is not worship. A prayer is not necessarily a sign of worship. This concept of praying = talking in visible in old English turns of phrase such as “pray tell good sir, what time is it?” Praying to Mother Mary is ultimately done at the behest of the Father, for all things are possible through Him. We know that those who are Alive in Christ right now can hear us, that’s in Revelation. They can see and know what is happening here on Earth. And since they’re directly in Heaven right now, they are right next to God. They have even greater relationships with God than any of us here still in the physical world have. So there’s no harm in asking those who are our family in Christ to try to get a good word in for us to God. Mary is the best among all creation. We humans are creature, we are created beings. Mother Mary too is a creature like us. But she is the BEST of us. She is the Mother of God after all! Who did Jesus love more than His own mother? There’s a reason the Lord chose her and not your or my mom that’s for sure. Mother Mary has the absolute best position to ask of the Lord anything. Praying to the Blessed Virgin can never hurt, she loves us as she is our mother too.

As a child, my parents never taught me about religion. I went to live with my Gma when I was 5, that is when I was taught the Bible by my Gma, and her church. I had a dream that felt very Spiritual and Holy of the Sun. I had not heard of the story of Fatima til years later even. In my dream, the Sun was way bigger than normal. It had smaller dots/suns surrounding it. It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen and yet it was in a dream. The Sun started to come closer and I began to run because it looked like it was heading towards the earth...I remember in my dream that even while running I still found beauty and True Peace in the Sun's image as it came closer. I JUST watched the movie right before typing this and this is the first time I've EVER heard of the miracle of the Sun. It's eery how similar my dream was from this event that I had no clue of til today.

How beautiful and awesome is God's Word, who is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? Magnificent in all His glory, is He. Amen! John's Vision Of Christ Seated On His Throne In Heaven: Revelation chapter 4 verse 2 to 3: " Immediately, I (John), was in the Spirit, and behold a throne sat in Heaven, and One sat on the throne. Why did Christ Jesus came and sacrificed His precious life for sinners like us? Christ (God's Word made into flesh), came because through flesh (Adam's flesh) sin entered the world, and then because of sin death entered the whole earth. Through flesh(Jesus Christ's flesh), the earth will be saved, sin is destroyed, and the curse of death shall be broken, death and the grave shall be cast into hell. Christ, who is God's Word made into flesh, sacrificed His life for us. He was crucified for our sins and transgressions. Christ died, and on the third day He resurrected in the flesh, conquering death and the grave. Now, Christ is seated in Heaven, at the right hand of Power(God). Through Christ's sacrifice we gain Salvation through God's abundant mercy and grace. We are reconciled and recompensed back to God, through the shed blood of His beloved Son Christ Jesus. John chapter 3 verse 16: " For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that who ever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life." Romans chapter 5 verse 8: " But God demonstrates His love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Christ came to undo the sin and eternal death brought upon the world through the sin of Adam. Death in Adam, Life In Christ: Romans chapter 5 verse 19: " For as by one man's disobedience, many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience, many will be made righteous." Romans chapter 5 verse 18: " Therefore, as through one man's (Adam's) offense judgement came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even through one Man's (Christ's) righteous act, the free gift came to all men, resulting in the justification of life." Romans chapter 5 verse 17: " For if by the one man's offense(Adam's offense), death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in the life through the One(Jesus Christ). Romans chapter 5 verse 12: " Therefore, just as through one man (Adam)sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned." Romans chapter 5 verse 21: " "So that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Do you now see that through Adam, sin and death entered the world, so that is why Christ Jesus came to give life, and give it abundantly? Yes Christ came to give eternal life through Salvation. Adam's flesh brought sin, death, destruction, and condemnation. Christ's sacrifice, the crucifixtion of His flesh, brings reconciliation of sins, life, resurrection, eternal life, salvation Christ is coming back again, not as a sacrificial lamb. He is coming back as a roaring, waring lion, to destroy sin, death, and the grave once and for all. Amen! Amen! Amen! Amen! Amen! Amen! Amen! Hallelujah! Revelation chapter 22 verse 12 to 13: " And behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Now, do you understand why there is only one way to God, and that is only through Christ Jesus,only? Yes. Christ is Salvation. Christ is our Lord and Saviour. Christ is the only way to God. I’m a Catholic. I’ve been one for a year (going through catechesis). I’ve had some doubts about Fatima. From what I had knew about Fatima was that the sun zig zagged about the sky (some people saw it go left and some right) and the ground was dry. After watching this all doubts have disappeared. While Fatima is 100% a real apparition you should know you are not bound to believe in them, and not believing in them is not a sin. These are considered private revelation (public revelation ceased with the death of the last Apostle, St. John.) About 7 or 8 years ago my brother and I were getting ready for work at around 4:00am. It was still pitch black outside and just as we stepped outside to leave everything suddenly lit up like it was the middle of the day. Not gradually either, one second it was dark, the next second it was light. It lasted a few seconds and then went dark again. The news said it was a meteor, it was seen by people from every part of the state. No one saw the meteor and it didn't light things up like a meteor would. If it was a meteor it would have had to been incredibly large to light up the whole state. We just stood there looking all around and up at the sky during it and no sun was in the sky so we couldn't figure out where the light was coming from. I'll always remember that.

I'm a traditional Roman Catholic and the church I go to (who do the TLM do the pre 1955 rubrics for Mass) we don't pray the luminous mysteries. A lot of my friends do the 15 decades every day and I usually pray more than the 5 decades, sometimes all 15, several times a week. I've heard a lot of people say that Our Lady said at Fatima that people only have to say 5 decades a day, but if people can pray more that would make Mary so pleased and add to their glory for their life thereafter. (Mysteries of the Rosary by St. Alphonsus de Liguori is a good book if you haven't already read it. It informative.)

Y qué cosas... los british y descendientes llamáis "latinos" a los afrodescendientes y a los nativoamericanos... cuando resulta que sois más latinos vosotros, ya que toda la cultura occidental actual desciende de la Roma clásica! Por cierto,os parecería bien que los españoles llamasemos anglosajones a nigerianos,keniatas o honkoneses...??? no, verdad que no?! Bueno, pues a los auténticos latinos,o sea los europeos mediterráneos y nuestros descendientes directos tampoco nos parece bien que denomineis Latinoamérica a países que de latinos no tienen nada! Estáis obviando la herencia nativoamericana y la africana! Es indignante que denomineis a la música caribeña como "latina" , cuando de latina no tiene nada!Las raíces de ritmos como la bachata,lambada,samba,salsa, etc,son claramente africanos! Sois unos racistas insoportables! A ver, qué es eso de "raza latina"???!!! No existe tal raza!!! La auténtica raza latina es la blanca mediterránea, pero vosotros incluís a afrodescendientes, nativoamericanos,mestizos y mulatos! Es absurdo! Los mediterráneos del sur somos tan caucasianos o mas que vosotros!(x si no lo sabéis existen cinco tipos de blancos: rojos, nórdicos,eslavos, balcánicos y mediterráneos! Al igual que en África existen cientos de razas o etnias distintas (no es lo mismo un masai que un zulú ni un masai o un bantú lo mismo que un pigmeo). A ver si comenzamos a denominar a las cosas por su nombre...o bien tendremos que comenzar los latinos a denominar a keniatas, nigerianos o honkoneses como "anglosajones".

@@anamariacarballo3514 thank you for that information, but all I was trying to say is that in Portuguese the 'J' is not pronounced as an 'H'. By the way, there is no such thing as a 'Bantu'. The word 'bantu' simply means 'people' in the Zulu and Xhosa languages (and probably in other Ndebele languages). Correctly, it is not 'bantu', but 'abantu', which is the plural of 'umuntu' which means 'person'. How my linguistic comment can be twisted to be a racist comment is absolutely beyond me. I am a Causasian who was born and bred in Africa and I have never been racist. You can ask my friends of whatever ethnicity.

If it had suddenly moved in the sky millions and millions of people all over the daylight part of the World would have seen it. Therefore it did not happen. In any case, the consequences would have been catastrophic. It could have been an optical illusion, or just in the minds of some of the people there.
