It's really interesting that the warped mirror thing was unintentional. I love seeing those kinds of unplanned aspects enhance the feeling of an art piece

THANK YOU. I've always had that irrational fear of, "What if something came out of that infinity space in the double mirror?" So seeing it done so well was awesome.

Not only was the content enjoyable to hear/learn about/watch, the pacing of the video itself was so well done and nothing felt over or under-explained! Just very fun to watch! Make more soon!

VFX supervisor here, this is an amazing break down and a very very effective short. Love it! Great work. This is as effective as the mirror sequence in Moonknight and shot smarter. Congrats on that!

usually don't comment but Coryxkenshin reacted to this on his Spooky Scary Sunday series, with credit of course, and the effects and film in general was done so well I had to come here immediately after watching it just to know how it was made, and just to give kudos for this film, I know it is just a short film but it was one that was interesting enough to me.

If ever a short film needed a longer "making of" than the film itself, this one was it. Thanks. Very well done on both the short and the look behind the scenes.

The Changing Room was a great short film and the concept is fantastic! I love the use of mirrors in horror, but a lot of the time I find films resort to the same dull tropes. It was amazing to see someone bring something new, and interesting to see how you accomplished it :)

1) I loved everything about this, it was super effective even for just under 5 minutes. 2) I immediately noticed and loved the warped mirror, it just gave the scene an extra unsettling quality that made it seem like a descent outside of reality the further back you go. 3) Circus people ftw! In case you couldn't tell, my current pfp is from one of my circus shows doing aerial straps on a rig. 4) I love that your dog is named MacGuffin, idk how many people are going to notice that. 5) I immediately got liminal space vibes even before seeing the mirrors, which I am so glad I was right abt. Overall, really well done, that was so cool to watch and watch how it was made.

I for sure thought you had a set with the multiple walls to mimic the double mirror. Dang I was wrong. This short film has been haunting me a little bit so it's so fascinating to see the behind the scenes! Next time I get scared of my mirror I'll just remember your dog trying to help the actor and the hanged man having purple hair lmao.

As a long-time VFX pro - bravo ! VFX is clean, but what I especially liked was that your solution was practically-based. Very nice. Much of our work on set is problem solving, so really liked your approach to bring your idea to life. You fixed it in Prep !

Fascinating to learn about the amount of planning and work to create this. Then for the enhancement of that stunning reflection curve to occur by chance makes it seem as if the Universe was rewarding you with a bonus return on your efforts. Fine casting choice, too. The eyes have it.

I did my own little mirror set up back home in Arkansas and had opposing wall mirrors. Funny thing was I made the kind of moves the girl in the video did, and her raising her arm, but found the 7th iteration of reflection in the mirrors did NOT move at the same time as the rest of the reflections. So, This Was A Great Video for me.
