I would have to say that, on the assumption that such a mirror exists, I would probably see my father. He had an accident while working when I was 7. While he was welding a girder structure, a co-worker tapped him on his shoulder and as he turned his head to see who it was, a piece of slag popped and burnt it's way through his temple to his brain. A very powerful memory I have is the day both my sister's and myself arriving home to find our mother sitting in the living room and crying. When asked why she was weeping she told us that our father had died. He was 30. From that moment on he was just a picture on a shelf. As I grew I found that when any of my friends expressed anger towards their father because he would not do what they wanted I would comment "....at least you have a father to be angry at." The only "positive" outcome from the death of my father was that I found an escape in reading and studies. .....so.... Since I have often wondered how different my life might have been if the accident did not occur and wondering to this day if my father would be proud of the man I became, I believe that it would probably be my father whom I would see in the mirror.

I lost my in law in April in 2016, then my dad died from chronic heart failure Sept 18th 2016, then my other brother in law died on Sept 24th 2016, then my oldest brother suddenly in October around the 23rd from a heart attack in 2016, and to top it off we lost a great friend during a surgery done in December of 2016 I truly hated that year....

I’d probably see me years in the future, a fully graduated high school student, in my graduation with my diploma next to my Aunt. We’re both smiling and she’s giving me the biggest hug! She died due to medical issues in her sleep. That was 3 years ago and she didn’t get to see the day we promised or get to see me start a new chapter in my life. She was only 44.

Good question, I often want to say all I really want in life is to be happy, being someone with several mental disorders that has always been a dream I have chased. At this point in my life especially those problems have been and still is such an intrinsic part of my life I don't know who I would be without them. But I guess questions like what would my life be like if I wasn't bipolar (type 2) or didn't have an anxiety disorder or if I hadn't experienced the trauma that I have...those questions are almost like asking what if Harry grew up in the wizarding world with his family? It puts the story on a completely different track.

OMG, guys!! I just had a thought (& a swear this just came to me!!)!! What if the Mirror of Erised was the SAME mirror in SNOW WHITE?!?! YES, the MUGGLE fairytale of Snow White! & yes, I know that it is a muggle fairytale, but think about it, the "witch" in Snow White looks in the mirror & it's magical, it shows her, not her, but Snow White, BUT, in a way, it DID kinda showed her what she really desired above all else. What if the muggle fairytale first came from the "real" wizards/witches Mirror of Erised transformed into a muggle fairytale version?! It's not the 1st time this has happened: werewolves has been seen in muggle stories, as well as unicorns & wizards/witches . . . Just a revelation I just now thought of . . . ;) :D

The thing I get from that is that the third Dark Lord is the one who will break the stature of secrecy and that there will be some sort of alliance between a group of Muggles and dark wizards, and they will benefit from each others. The mirror drives people crazy because their deepest desires which they see in it are most likely never gonna happen. Like Harry seeing his parents but he knows they're dead. Still I heard someone who's been in Harry's situation say "When someone's gone, they're gone. What good does it do to think about them? It doesn't make you any better, it only makes you feel sad". Harry felt really said inside no doubt looking in the mirror seeing his parents

I personally believe the mirror itself is actual a piece of dark magic. It shows you your greatest pain in the form of the greatest joy. It feeds off this emotion, luring you to come back... to get lost in the vision. Mirrors shows the truth, the truth which we all distort into our perception. With Ron it shows his insecurities of his family, knowing he'll never rise above them and he is over shadowed. Though, the hungry mirror feeds on that by "numbing" it with a sense of joy. With Harry, his parents. Dumbledore... well, he loves Grindies. It shows the mistakes he made with the pact, with getting to close but, masking it by showing the joy and closeness of that magic bond. The Mirror is dangerous, it is dark. It is why is was alone, why it was moved, why it was place in the location where all lost things are found. What is your thoughts?
