From what I've heard over on twitter of leakers explaining the situation, the Rainbow Room map was made purely to celebrate the return of Nancy, Steve, and Demogorgon... and the Hawkins Realm returning to DBD, but for whatever reason it was scrapped halfway through. Assuming it did go through, we would have just had a new map for the Hawkins realm when the OG Stranger Things License content re-releases. No Vecna, no Jim, no Joyce, no Robyn. Just a new map. As for the FNAF misconception, turns out BHVR WANTED FNAF in DBD for a long time, but Scott Cawthon, creator of FNAF, had a huge fear of his franchise being misrepresented in media, so he held on tight to the license. However, DBD was always seen as a possibility in Scott's mind for a crossover. Scott was looking at possible crossovers for FNAF's 10th anniversary, and it just so happened that DBD brought Alien into the game, one of Scott's beloved franchises. Seeing how BHVR handled the Alien license, it convinced him to contact BHVR to make FNAF x DBD a reality. Up until the Alien Chapter, Scott was extremely hesitant on giving BHVR his license in fear of it being misrepresented, even after BHVR reportedly reached out to him multiple times. (This also means FNAF is probably not getting added to many other games such as fortnite, given how tightly Scott holds onto the franchise. This means DBD will have a very prestigious license under it's belt, and be one of very very few games you can actually play as FNAF characters outside of the FNAF franchise. Whether you think FNAF is fitting for DBD or not, this either way is a huge brag and W for DBD)

Regarding the "Hellraiser was FNAF" Theory. The reason people thought it was a FNAF chapter was because of the sheer amount of teasers they released to hype the chapter up, and all of them could have been connected to FNAF. I don't think this was intentional at all by the devs, but it is hilarious that even up to the very end people still had no idea what the chapter was gonna be.

This community seems to have a hard time with trailers and teasers, huh... A little less fun, but there was also the time BHVR did an AMA on Reddit, and someone asked about Trapper. BHVR's answer boiled down to "no big changes because Trapper performs well and we like him being simple for new players, but we do have small changes planned", but everyone took it as "BHVR won't buff Trapper because of the stats", which was pretty annoying.

The witch from left 4 dead can work for example: her power can be the instant down hit if she charges it up by chasing survivors for about 90 seconds like the shapes power only so much can be built up and last for so long…she can come with two zombies buddies as well but her add ons can change what two zombies she gets…boomer will blow up and show the aura for 5 seconds but has a medium respawn delay…smoker can pull survivors off of gens and blocks it for 7 and runs away but has a long respawn and finally the hunter who will stalk and pounce on a survivor and hold down the survivor for 3 seconds and notify the witch after letting go the hunter dies and has a short respawn but will always spawn far away from everyone or in killers shack…spawn locations are shared with the other special buddies and times are 15/18/22 seconds after being killed and survivors can open a new chest and receive a pistol with 1 shot (all special buddies can be killed instantly or pallet drop) shooting will notify the killer and addition there will be three…let’s say 3 benches around map that can reload the pistol but shoot again will destroy it there’s a max 5 pistol boxes on the map and of course add ons to lower the box’s max count and/or benches and finally the perks…(don’t have a name but yah) 1. When getting flashlights shine at you gain haste for 3 seconds and also reduce your blindness effect by 1.5 seconds 2. Totem: Survivors scream when looking at any special buddies cool down 35 seconds and 3. When all special buddies are dead you gain undetectable until your down or both buddies respawn….just my ideas 8:15

I remember they were going to do this thing where survivors would get legendary skins of Killers in their human form, and vice verse. They had a teaser for Yui where it showed an older Yui and an evil Yui. Evil Yui pushed the Yui we know down a mountain to kill her, with the older Yui at the bottom watching, Thus giving us a teaser that Yui might get a killer skin? But NOTHING of the sort happened. David King could easily get a trapper skin that was before he was consumed by the void, Claudette could get Lisa Sherwood or The Hag. They could really do something cool with that concept, and they never took off with it. Which sucks because I know I’d spend money for cosmetics like that.

Tools of torment will never recover from how much of a disaster that release was. There was so much hype building up to it and then it was just disappointing upon its actual release. The killer design, Mori, perks, gameplay were all hated on.

I can explain why Leather Face was being removed thing. He was going to be removed. The files support this. The part that bugged me was DBD leaks just saying it was 100% going to happen even tho we still had months before the removal date. So anyway, when the announcement from DBD leaks was made a huge back lash happened. Some even saying they weren’t even going to play The Texas Chainsaw Massacre game If leather face was going to be removed from DBD. I’m not sure what the reason why a renewal wasn’t going to happen but it seems the licensed holders and BHVR found some middle ground and Leather Face stayed. But because DBD Leaks locked down that Leather Face was leaving they lost credibility even tho they still have an above 95% track record. The Stranger Things Rainbow Room map was being made before Stranger Things got removed. It was never clear if it was for a chapter 2 but it seems like it was a map variant but it stopped into production because Netflix didn’t allow their license to be renewed.

A L4d witch could be interesting. A sort of masochistic oni instead of a sadistic one. 110 speed normally, but everything they break something or get stunned/blinded, they build up a power meter until it's full. Afterward, they can become enraged, increasing their speed to 120 or 125, basic attacks cause deep wounds and they can charge up a rush attack that let's them bounce off 1 wall (or smash breakable stuff) and instant down. A sort of Billy-Blight hybrid.

I do still feel bad for anyone that panic bought Bubba during his false removal but it just goes to show that there is a big soft spot in the community for our campy boy. His legacy in DBD isn't the best but we love him! I totally believe the theory that this incident was a sting operation BHVR did to sniff out leakers too! Another misconception or rather misunderstanding is that of the luck mechanic. People still believe luck affects chests or other stuff but it doesn't sadly.
