Well said, although I see Palmer, Olise and Nkunku are better as inside wingers. I.e. they need overlaps from fullbacks to level up. No full backs as such in a Maresca system. He also likes his wingers to be high and wide and explode with pace and dribbling when the ball arrives. This suits Mudryk, Sterling, Noni and Angelo. I do have to concede that Olise and Palmer underlapping and overlapping each other could definitely work but will cause Maresca to change his tactics which I’m not sure he will do from what I/we hear. I want Olise if that’s who Maresca wants, but I assume it’s a board signing. Phenomenal players I should add.

He could be what we thought Hakim Ziyech will be when we signed him, that creative winger with phenomenal crossing and ball striking ability, but Olise actually has the extra speed and dribbling over Ziyech.

I think Estevan and Paez will both be loaned at this season. Madueke would just play back up and Palmer could play in the midfield but that would mean we would have to sacrifice an Enzo/Caicedo/Lavia. Lavia may need more time but I think out of the three he is most suited to Marco's style of play. It would be a good problem to have but still very much a problem.

#Niini, great video and am sure you can sell even the worst player on this platform and we will all buy into it. My only concern is that Olise likes to cross the ball to find the striker which is great, however , if we buy Alverez who isn’t tall enough to score headers , don’t you think we may not be fully utilising Olise’s attributes because we don’t have a mateta and Jackson is unreliable when it comes to headers . For me, sesko will be a better fit and will score most of the pin-point heading crosses from Olise.
