Thank you so much for this! Since Ive been diagnosed with a lightly scoliosis I had to do core strengthener exercises but turns out I did them wrong. This will definitely help me out so much so I can skate better and my spine can be normal once again. Your video just came out when I was in need for it. So again, thank you so much my man!

Hey Congo! These exercises can definitely be a part of a program for scoliosis. Check out more of Dr Stuart McGill's work here - www.backfitpro.com/ he's the absolute master on everything to do with the spine. Hope you heal up quick!

I have the same issue. Can't skate too often because of it. I also have a higher right hip. Skating goofy makes it even worse as your front hip seems to be elevated while skating. It has created a big muscle imbalance for me. Keyword for me was Hip Flexors; stretch stretch stretch. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKDZmWymdphmf9U

Can you give us a comprehensive list of all stretch’s and core strength techniques?
@TheDailyPush2 жыл бұрын
I've got a couple of videos covering other core strength exercises and stretches on the channel, also in the NBD programs (on www.thedailypush.com) there's a load of exercises for the core and everything else you need to train for skating. Will get some more training vids up in the channel soon either way.

Hi just catching this one. You mentioned in the intro that you'd be doing a follow up video with on board demonstrations for these techniques, lots of videos since then, any chance i can get a link?

Hey, I skate and have Scoliosis. I don’t have trouble skating, but my posture is pretty terrible which also influences some tricks and style. What do you recommend I do?
@sivadsinnedvlogs18115 жыл бұрын
I have the same I am regular footed and lean to the back so i have a problem with Tre flips always lean to far back and kick the board away and 180s I am leaning for and get wheel bite. I am no expert but what I found out that helps and trying to make sure I am my shoulders are square before I try the trick been landing more treflips but still kinda hard to always remember to do that. Also I found doing pull ups and animal movements mobility training have also helped alleviate pain and increase flexibility.

The best way is to actually doing it, once you get the technique, the muscle trains to do that trick, general exercises is good to do that for strenght and conditioning is great complement, but wont help you learn the techniques it will improve your performance but it all depends, honestly I wont waste to much time conditioning for skate boarding and just warm up with some ollies roll arround and you are good to go
@TheDailyPush5 жыл бұрын
Yeh I mean skateboarding has advanced as much as it has without strength and conditioning that's for sure, and when it comes down to learning tricks, actually skating is definitely what you need to spend most your time doing. But I would totally disagree that it doesn't help you learn techniques; strength and conditioning has taught me so much about skateboarding that I didn't learn in the first 14years I skated before I started training - for example, stuff related to being more centred over my board, using my upper body more, or different ways to create and transfer force when doing different tricks. It's massively increased how stable I feel on my board when doing different tricks as well, and I also recover much faster than I did before. Then you've got all the injury risk reductions and other general health benefits that come along with training. I would 100% recommend it to pretty much every skater.

I would argue that conditioning helps you be more stable and do things with more ease for literally anything g you could do in your life, from vacuuming to swimming in the olympics. Strengthening your muscles is always beneficial. Plus- injury prevention.

Obviously @edd3055 is a brand new skater without the experience . Listen to experienced people 2 comments above. I came here because I was weaker on balancing in one leg. I'm also severely flat foot fallen arches and wide. This video is going to help me greatly
