Boer isn’t derogatory. But a good rule of thumb in South Africa is to not put “you” in front of a persons race or culture e.g. you Boer or you coloured. That quickly changes everything 👀😂

No, it’s a farmer. It can also be used to refer to Afrikaans speakers in general

It’s not a slur. It means farmer, but it also refers to Afrikaners(Germanic people in South Africa). But it also seems to be used to describe the more rural , conservative Afrikaners who see themselves as the “real” Afrikaners.
