They use New Jersey Athletic Commission rules. And in that particular rule set, those knees were infact *illegal*. Its a whole separate bag of worms as to why theres different F'n rules depending on the city in which youre fighting -- its actually fucking INSANE if you think about it -- but the point remains, Mark Goddard was 100% right about the illegality of those knees based on the rule set under which the fight took place. It felt like Sean took the 3rd round off. He was very inactive in that round and in hindsight, he probably would've won the whole fight if he did more work in round 3. Dricus hardly had any control time so I don't know why people are saying that, but he did win rounds on activity as opposed to accuracy or effectiveness. Sean just needed more volume to really secure those rounds even though his defense was mostly on point.

I like both guys, but I just knew that DDP had it. So much octagon control, take downs, cut him badly. It was hard to argue that Sean won it. He really needed to blitz like he did at the very end of the fight but he just stayed defensive for 5 rounds. A draw would have been a good result and a rematch. @@ModifiedIntel

I've heard you talk a few times about not giving bonuses to fighters who already have a bunch of money and instead rewarding those who don't get paid as much, because it's unfair. However, I half-disagree. It's not supposed to be a charity, so the bonuses should go to those who actually deserve it, regardless of how much money they already have or make.
