Guru, I believe this was Joe Rogan’s effort to do damage control for hyping up Pereira since his arrival to the UFC which I think offended Adesanya. Joe kept talking about Pereira and his insane power and talent, brought up Adesanya’s kickboxing losses to Pereira, etc. He sounded like a fan of his or at the very least seemed to be very impressed by Pereira. Pereira even thanked Joe for believing in him in his octagon speech after winning the belt. Izzy and Joe seem to have a friendship to some degree. Adesanya publicly came to Joe’s defense and showed support for him when Joe went through the “racist” accusations after an old video of him resurfaced…. So maybe Joe feels bad for talking up Pereira. Anyway maybe looking too much into it but those are my thoughts as to why Joe is really going out of his way to praise Adesanya now.

There’s gotta be an alternate reality where Izzy is humble about the loss because absolutely NOWHERE is he accepting the loss well. Where are people getting this idea? I’m so confused 😂
@enmanuel19502 жыл бұрын
I believe that most people just saw the post fight interview in which he actually was humble in defeat, but then he went to Helwani's and Schultz's podcasts and walked everything he said back. I'm not gonna lie I thought he took it well too before I saw what he said later.

Joe wants to say technically Izzy is a better striker but "technically" the main shot that Izzy hurt him with was literally after the bell. I get he got rocked before that one but the one that really rocked him was the shot after the bell. Who knows how long it even took him to really get right after that. Maybe he would've finished Izzy quicker. I think they are very close but you can't say Izzy is technically better.
@DevDreCW2 жыл бұрын
Alex is so stoic and calm that he does 'appear' less technical and adept compared to Izzy's head movement and activity. But I think he just really knows how to play to his strengths and keeps to the gameplan very well.

You do bring up a lot of great points and I have to agree on this one,even thought that was one Izzy best performances and I’m really starting to think because he couldn’t hide being jabs,faints and leg kicks to win this one.He actually had a guy that was not scared of getting countered by Izzy and just went into the fire and wasn’t scared a bit when it came to the middleweight division other then Kelvin.That is why these two fights were the most exciting,especially this one being the most exciting like I said.
