If anyone is biased it’s all these Izzy haters. Not one of them is a fighter or even a martial artist but are quick to talk about how “boring” Izzy was as champ and absolutely celebrate his loss and talk about how he was soo outclassed in a fight he was winning. It’s all good though now people get to see what a pure striker champion with absolutely no take down defense. I hope Alex enjoyed his lil ride because almost everyone Izzy has already beaten is gonna wrestlefook him into oblivion 🥰

I think it’s important to mention that the “weight cutting” topic gets used however they see fit at the time. If someone gets tired in round 3 it’s “we don’t know how much weight he was cutting he looks like a big guy” if someone gets KOed really bad it’s “think about how much the weight cut takes away from his chin” when someone moves up in weight it’s “I think this will be really good for his career not having to drain himself he will perform much better” but now that Alex beats Izzy it’s just “he’s pretty much cheating” lmao

I researched this because of this narrative..kickboxing a standing 8 count gets used in two situations ..one of which is when one of the fighters gets held up by the ropes..Izzy couldn't put Alex down but at a certain point Alex leaned on the ropes ..that's when they did the standing 8 ..they didn't just choose to do it cause it's in Brazil ..that's the rule lol

Guru, I believe this was Joe Rogan’s effort to do damage control for hyping up Pereira since his arrival to the UFC which I think offended Adesanya. Joe kept talking about Pereira and his insane power and talent, brought up Adesanya’s kickboxing losses to Pereira, etc. He sounded like a fan of his or at the very least seemed to be very impressed by Pereira. Pereira even thanked Joe for believing in him in his octagon speech after winning the belt. Izzy and Joe seem to have a friendship to some degree. Adesanya publicly came to Joe’s defense and showed support for him when Joe went through the “racist” accusations after an old video of him resurfaced…. So maybe Joe feels bad for talking up Pereira. Anyway maybe looking too much into it but those are my thoughts as to why Joe is really going out of his way to praise Adesanya now.

Joe wants to say technically Izzy is a better striker but "technically" the main shot that Izzy hurt him with was literally after the bell. I get he got rocked before that one but the one that really rocked him was the shot after the bell. Who knows how long it even took him to really get right after that. Maybe he would've finished Izzy quicker. I think they are very close but you can't say Izzy is technically better.
