It most definitely is by choice, the UFC had written a formal letter reinstating mmafighting’s credentials (Casey, Esther and Ariel I believe) and their ability to attend events like 2 days after the UFC 200 incident. If he wanted to attend them, he would but they’ve already got members of their team at the events to provide coverage.

@@RyderPoleyProduction below is an article of Dana basically saying as long as he’s in charge Ariel will NEVER be allowed at a UFC event. and he can cover the sport but he has to buy a ticket himself. this is why after the Dana White drama with his wife he pushed so hard for Dana to be fired. cause he’s not dumb he knows if that happens he’ll be clear to go freely if someone else was in charge. same guy that was able to talk Fox into cutting Ariel loose and cause tension between him and Espn and thats why he’s no longer with them either. its why till this day even fighters mention to him he’s not allowed in the building. ultimately he knows he can attempt to step foot in there but Dana can also humiliate him like he did before by kicking him out again and no one would bat an eye about it. he doesn’t go solely based on that fact, because Dana has the power to do that. and judging by all the negative stuff he says about Dana till this day and about stuff he’s involved with like the Power slaps or the apex cards or the fighter pay etc. that further supports that. he “chooses” not to go because he wants to hold on to that pride and not risk possibly being embarrassed. trust if Dana was no longer in the picture he would be going to the events. bleacherreport.com/articles/2644607-dana-white-comments-on-lifetime-ban-of-ariel-helwani-for-brock-lesnar-report
