I have high expectations of your videos and see your future work featured alongside , the well known Dateline and Unsolved mysteries. It will also be interesting if the dots get connected and a link with the Russian mafia is made to the Murdaugh case ..Wouldn’t that be the bomb!

Amazing work as always Eric! Being a native to S.C. I particularly enjoy that most of your cases thus far have been from here in the South East. However with the quality of your work I'll be watching regardless of the incident location.

The few I’ve interacted with leave me of the opinion criminal opportunities here are abundant. If not for cameras and even with the recording they only file a report. They would even prefer you file it yourself on line. Your attention to details and connections are spot on! Thank you for a very professional review of the facts! @tara_ble17052 жыл бұрын
I know for a fact in the late 80’s there was a lot of cocaine coming in through Myrtle Beach. My best friend was dating this guy and he and his friend asked us if we would like to go to the beach for a weekend. They had some work to do and everything was going to be paid for so all we needed to bring was a nice outfit for dinner, and a bathing suit. Naturally being 18-19 years old we excitedly accepted the invitation. We got there Friday morning and stayed on the beach all day. Saturday was the same. We woke at 6 am on Sunday and the guys were gone. They came back to the resort about 1pm and rushed us out the door quick, fast, and in a hurry. When we made it back to VA, we found out why they were in such a hurry to get on the road. The whole back of that Ford Bronco was full of bricks. My friend stopped dating him fairly quickly and within a year, both guys were busted and one received 30 years and the other received 10 years in prison. Since that incident (and of course I have adult children now) I’ve always told my kids-especially my daughters not to EVER accept an all expense paid trip with ANYONE!! And, if it seems too good to be true, it usually is.

There is definitely an organized crime presence in the Hilton Head/Bluffton area. Brother in law managed a couple restaurants in the area but he kept getting beaten up and his car windows smashed out by a group of people who he eventually told us were pressuring him into farming credit card numbers and committing fraud. At one point he was so scared that he just abandoned the car he was driving in a public place and refused to even drive it or allow my sister to drive it. Years later he told us that he and the car had been forced at gunpoint to be a getaway driver for these people for other crimes. Eventually they started threatening his wife and kids (my sister and nieces) and He went to the police but they never took it serious and accused him of self inflicting his injuries and damaging his own properties for insurance money and pain medication. We half started believing the police version until he quit his job and refused to even leave the house eventually resulting in him running off and fleeing the state. After my sister was approached by an “investigator” who collected several contact numbers for members of our family, my mom and sister started getting weird phone calls from people claiming to be police who wanted to know what they had known about his activities and what he had told us. My mother was so angry at my brother in law that she fell for the ruse and went into detail with the “investigator” on the phone about what he had told the family. The “investigator” asked to meet my mom and sister at a boat landing at 2am promising to give them more information. My mom smelled a rat and contacted the FBI, and state and local police who told her “Do Not” meet with anyone or give out their home address’s to those people. Law enforcement also told them that no such investigation was underway. This scared my parents and sister so bad they immediately moved into a hotel prior to leaving SC and gave their home keys to hired movers to pack and move their things. The whole Story is even more crazy and goes even deeper than what I’ve said here but I do not want to put out that info publicly.

As a long time Islander; you get some unusual crime in this area and much goes unsolved or zipped. I think it has something to do with a lot of quiet money here, and the community is transient due to all the tourism. There are too many crossover players between the Murdaughs and the Calverts, and both cases deal with stealing money, getting caught, murder and even suicides.

I am sorry for the loss of the Calverts. I have often wondered if their disappearance/murder was ever solved. Happy to have this video show up on my YT opening page as this case has stuck with me for years - this and the case of another 'John' found dead at Foggy Bottom from an apparent suicide, dropped out a top floor while his wife in parking lot waiting to pick him up. Happened after 9/11 and about the time Bush invaded Iraq. I caught one news story before John's death disappeared forever. All very suspicious as this case is. From comments, it sounds like this channel is a good one for me.

The idea of someone else being there when Dennis was in the bathtub "killed himself" does make sense. If Dennis were involved in sketchy business with his “Russian friends”, it actually makes a lot of sense they’d get rid of him. Dennis was stealing from multiple families, helping these new friends run schemes and who knows what else. On top of that, he just caught two bodies and all the evidence pointed towards him. He’d surely be thoroughly investigated soon and the schemes he ran with his new friends may also be unraveled. After the murders he became a huge liability. Taking care of loose ends is even more common when you’re from out of town. Dennis is the link to a bigger scheme that was going on. He had to go.

It's very sus that blood was found all over the sink area. Did they investigate the foot prints around the tub? I agree with you about someone standing over him while he wrote the suicide note. It just seems like common sense to investigate this as a homicide Imo. Thank you for this very interesting case. I never knew such scandalous cases about people with tons of money go down in South Carolina. It really does sound like it is all connected somehow. I so look forward to your videos. 🥰

Oh it is all connected, I have no doubt. The rich people who have something to hide are who is keeping PJ Tanner i. Office. Tanner knows where all the bodies are buried in Beaufort County. All of the secrets in Beaufort County can be tracked right to him. And Duffie Stone is the other one that is bought and paid for.

Anywhere there's money there's corruption and then crime...I knew a "bad guy" once who's entire MO was operating as a liason between the rich and powerful and the underworld. Really opened my eyes to the dark underbelly of the upper classes...

I bet the detectives NEVER thought of investigating the footprints. Is your real first name Sherlock?

@@wizardofahhhs759 There are lots of corrupt detectives in Beaufort County. There was a bunch of shady shit going on around here after they went missing.

Love your videos and have watched them all. It’s been nice to see you grow as a reporter while you hone your craft!! Super Job!!! A word of caution though, Russian people don’t play. I knew some Russian people years ago and I’m real glad I don’t know those people now. I hope you’re consulting with someone before publishing the videos. Be Careful where you tread reguarding this subject. Like I said these people don’t play. Always remember the golden rule. “Safety First”. Good luck and Thank You for the videos that you provide. I have enjoyed them all

as interns during that year some of us worked at the quarter deck, right beside the harbor basin, where so many of their good friends worked, nothing but good things said about the Calverts. we/I always thought it was witness protection as the boat was there, their cat was there, and from one night to the next they simply vanished. the lawyer suicide to us strengthened the idea of someone was coming for them and law enforcement got them out just in time. it was actually quite nice to hear of the sighting after the incident in this story. very well covered @EricAlan , your channel is great an thorough

My first trip to HH was in 1969, my parents had been living there a few years. My stepdad was a plumber and there was lots of use for his trade. Prior to that they lived in Beaufort. HH was so beautiful until every inch got developed there and beyond. It’s a madhouse now!

I'm in Shreveport Louisiana. Here you worry about drive by shootings and burglaries and carjackings by thug gangstas. But from what I have heard about Beaufort...its the folks in the Izods and khaki shorts you need to be wary of. Eric, be careful, brother.

No doubt, been out scdc since 2015, did my tour of duty starting in McCormick ending at Lee county, but not the real yard, I finished atu and got on thru..one lesson you learn quick on mi3 yard don’t fick around if you got a max out, at McCormick when I first got there i want to say out of around 150 in my dorm like 120-130 had 30+ years to life.. seen a few crazy shits but overall made the best of a bad deal and it ended up as one of the most transformative times of my life.
