That purple shot in 3:10 looks really nice! Love your whole artstyle in your videos and the mods that you used. Have a nice week

How's development going behind the scenes? I know a lot of people had IRL stuff delaying things, so was curious if they have more time again?

Keleios is the one behind the code and the refactor is steady but slow. We are all under severe work load. The rewrite of Artemis to support multi programming and cross grid operations has reached at least the first somewhat working version of the code. For now pretty much just torpedoes being in closed loop use. Refactor is nessesarry as the code limit of program blocks would otherwise prevent any more features and overhauls to be added to the system.

yeah I heard about the refactor. Won't even pretend to understand it, but glad it hasn't proven impossible to work on. Thanks for the update!

Great space engineers video! Informative and well cut. Those smoke trails on the rockets, are they vanilla? Also, could you upload some of your missile designs onto the workshop?
@mobiuscoreindustries8 ай бұрын
The trails are from a mod called rocketFX, the thrusters are vanilla hydrogen though. Those ones can't be publicly released because they run on Artemis but I am planning on releasing missiles that run on APCK that are extremely similar

@@mobiuscoreindustries What is Artemis? A special script made by you? Will you make a video on it when you release these missiles or can you tell me when you do so? I've only used WHIP's script for missiles yet.

I know, of course. But I am not exactly in the right schedule type not honestly mood for it. Replay tool has been borked for the better part of the year now. Every major vid project I had with any degree of complexity is being held back by this

I try making my own missile i can never seem to get one that is decent while cost less any thoughts idea please text

Yes, here is my guidelines: - Optimize for your predicted target type. Is it large or small? what bothers your ship the most specifically, that will inform your design decisions - Try to make the missiles as easy to fabricate as possible, learn the range and reach of welders and shape your missile around them - Avoid ion like the plague, ion thrusters are not only weaker but cost platinum, a rare and expensive resource to be throwing away - keep the missile as small as you need it, if you only expect to see frigate and cruisers with light armor you may not need a 3x3x30 armor destroying torpedo. - pump as much thrust as you physically can while still having the desired range, this is the leading factor in how likely you are to hit something - Test your weapons against actual ships and stations, not floating heavy armor cubes - Accept that there is no optimal solution, just a gradient of tradoffs

Watch this, if should give you some tips as to how to deal with player made weapons. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnmmlYGvisuGoac Armor design is also somewhat in the pipeline
