wouldn't have been easier to buy a cage and then just mount the k3m on like the handle or something or use a mounting hole on the cage to screw on a cold shoe mount and you can still use your monitor and everything as well

For me personally I dont like cages. If I am on a shoot for a client then I will use one for protection but filming at home I dont use one.

Can you use this adapter and microphone that comes with k3m? I just need something like this to hold planned to buy dji mic kit to have 3 channel audio. I think this is too much, I would need smaller version of this

You should be fine with the right adapters. Also if you haven't heard the dji wireless mic kit has been pushed back to march 2022

I would advise not to do this since the XLR K3M is made of plastic and actually is very fragile. I broke the shoe twice

How long did that take to break? That MI shoe connection is not the best

Hasn't yet but I usually don't put that much weight on it all the time

This looks extremely fragile. One harder bump would breake off the whole construction resulting in a broken k3m mount, probably a broken cold shoe on your cam and eventually a broken monitor screen when it falls down..
