One thing no one mentions which to me is the most obvious way to tell if it’s a contact lens: the jelly ring round the outside of the iris. It usually has a blue tint, the silicone hydrogel catches light differently to the sclera.
@nope.thankies2 жыл бұрын
Yes, another way to tell is by observing the pupils. The opacity of the plastic used for the implant lens leaves only a small opening in the center for you to see without getting too much tunnel vision. For any lens (even some contacts) size of the opening remains the same even when you're in bright light. Naturally your pupil will constrict to take less light in and will expand when the environment is dim (you can see this for yourself by flashing your phone's light from eye to eye in front of a mirror). This dilation happens symmetrically unless you have had eye trauma (David Bowie is an example for this) ....In conclusion, she's fooling no one but herself
@goodiegoodygumdrops2 жыл бұрын

@Alex-fc8xn2 жыл бұрын
There is one exception: some people (like me) have hEDS (hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome) which means our body doesn't produce collagen properly. Lots of effects, but one is that our scleras are slightly thinner and therefore bluish. It's faint, but if I look to the side you can see the transition from bluish to typical eye colour. It's pretty uncommon though, it's estimated that 1/5000 people have some form of EDS, though the rarer kinds of the syndrome don't cause the blue sclera.
@Alex-fc8xn2 жыл бұрын
So this is true, but 1/5000 people are an exception. Funny enough I do have very faint heterochromia: I have very pale blue eyes, but if I look at a bright light and my pupils go small you can see I have a faint yellow halo around my pupil. Get it from my mum (both mutations, actually) who has the same hypermobility and blue eyes with a copper section in one. I also have that dark thick limbal ring, despite being an adult. I think it actually makes my irises less unnerving, because they'd be weirdly pale without it. I knew someone with pale blue eyes and no dark ring and it was intimidating
@lonely90292 жыл бұрын
What if this is exactly what she want ? What if she doesn’t care about the side effects but thought it would benefits her ? One eye going blind is an absolutely life-changing experience. The blind eye is no longer functioning. With time, it will experience the same changes a paralised limb would experience: her eyelid drooping (ptosis), some form of strabismus, optical nerve inflammation, retinal detachment with broken red veins in the white part. These consequences would essentially exclude her from the modeling industry. Not worth it in any way. Not to mention the issues with decreased field of view affecting her mobility and the time it takes to adapt to monocular life.

Mine are like this, though only a few people have commented on it. As a kid I could never tell if my eyes were blue, grey, or green. It comes down to the structure of the eye: when the pupil is big then the pigment in the eyes is more concentrated in the iris, and when it's small the pigment is less dispersed. Then there's very pale eyes like mine and your classmate which will noticeably reflect light and look very different based on the colour of the light. My eyes look green in warm light, grey on overcast stormy days, and blue in cool light. It's generally not noticeable because I'm very light sensitive and get headaches in bright environments, but if my pupils are super small from bright light then you can see that I have a faint yellow halo around my pupil. Which makes sense, my mum has partial heterochromia, which is genetic.

The theft of those Instagram posts was so incredibly low effort. She didn't even look for people that looked like her. What was that ending? It has been proven beyond reasonable doubt that both of her eyes were once brown and she was using a temporary method that made her iris appear larger until she went to one of the few countries where she could have surgery done for it and then came back from a convenient break at the same time her eye finally started looking like she has been saying it always did.
