After watching episodes 6 through 8 of the new Netflix reality competition series, the Mole, I return to update my rankings of the remaining players from most-likely Mole suspects to least-likely Mole candidates based on their sabotage efforts and decision making. We also examine potential clues.

Has anyone noticed in the original Netflix trailer for the show. At 33 seconds u hear Will say “the person you least suspect is who you should suspect the most” and then they immediately cut to a clip of KESI sitting in her chair with a grin. Editing coincidence? Or foreshadowing 👀

Speaking of that Rock, Paper, Scissors game… I believe Kesi purposely recited “Scissors, Rock, Paper” to throw Joi off while simultaneously not diverting from choosing rock. Two questions shown in a mole quiz were “how many languages does the mole speak” and “how many siblings does the mole have”. I believe Kesi’s bio is the only one that answers both questions

The NCK clue in episode 6 written on the wall stands for the contestant's last name (Neblett), the university she attended (Columbia), and her home state (Kentucky). Also there was a zip code clue of 42276 that was present in an earlier episode, and 42276 is the zip code of Russellville, which lies 30 miles east of Interstate 169 and 30 miles west of Interstate 165 (which serve the Hopkinsville and Bowling Green areas).

Omg thank you for breaking down everyone’s contributions in each of the missions! That’s extremely helpful. During this set of episodes there were several clues that pointed to Kesi in my (perhaps tunnel vision) opinion. After the mountain challenge there was a voiceover from Alex saying “it was Kesi all along” [who had the third set of money] that noticeably stuck out to me. When she was in the car after taking the exemption, she held up the card and it said The Mole on it instead of Exemption like it did when she took it from the cage. I’ve seen some people theorize about the NCK initials on the wall of the chain room referring to her as well. As far as the writing on the plane, I noticed that right away in episode 1! At first I only saw the O-6 and my linguist brain went “oh the word for six in another language is Sei = Osei is the mole!” So imagine my surprise when he was eliminated first hahaha. After thinking about it more, if you move 6 letters after O, you get U - which combined with the Colombia flag would turn it into Columbia -which is where Kesi went to school. Not sure how to reconcile the 160 though - unless it’s an obscure nod to how in some regards this is season one of the reboot, but if you consider the original show then this is season 6. Otherwise, taken all together (and with some O/0 creative liberties) 06160 is the zip code for Hartford, CT. Not sure how that connects though. But I’ve really been looking at Kesi since episode 2 when during the jail mission she was the one who said something like “I think we could do this if we only had 10 more minutes” which made me laugh at first but then made me do a double take. Could be a season 1-esque “pull the trigger” moment of revealing a part of the game that they shouldn’t know about yet. Excited for the finale to find out just how right or wrong I’ve been! Regardless, I’ve definitely enjoyed this season and have been very glad to have the show back!!

Let's throw a spanner in the works😬 The lettering O-6 160 on the plane bothered me. Was it just random, or a clue? If you look at the alphabet position numbering (example A=1 B=2 etc) and you place the letter O at 6 (meaning P=7 Q=8 etc) then Jacob Hacker = 160. 🤯

I really think that it's Joi. Her consistent inability to navigate simple maps while being a pilot is an early detail that is very hard to look past. Especially since in the confessionals she always is emphasizing how incredible she is. Her missions have almost always been unsuccessful (with her being the weakest link) only to somehow miraculously be able to hold her own in the recent episodes. She didn't look at the files - as the mole she wouldn't really need the info - but started cheering once she realized she could gamble all of the prize pot away. I think her giving up the second exemption was a move to gain the others' trust - the more rational choice for anyone else in her position would be to take the card. She's been everything - the underachiever, the enemy, the team player, the hero, and the aggressor diverting attention away. It all seems very strategic. The people who suspected her that left were very early on when they had little information about her to go off of. I highly doubt that it is Avori since it seems pretty obvious she makes intentional sabotage moves to make people suspect her and vote for her in the quiz so she can get a higher score.

Also, Joi being a pilot and insisting to be on the boat team instead of the plane team? She said she was a good swimmer but never got in the water. She wanted to be able to blame being out of her element for her poor performance. She would be the best one at being able to spot something on the ground and refused that part of the mission!

The more I think about this video, the more I think you're right about the red thread of the series being the colour gold. It mentions in Kesi's bio that she used to work for a company called Goldman as well, which seems pretty damning. (Also, I double checked the Columbian flag thing - it's definitely the Columbian flag, there's just a colour issue with my TV)

I really felt it was Sandy from her no hesitation of seeing the green light; shame I was wrong but my backup option was Kesi she knew from what other players could do and the distance when it's one on one to sabotage she took every possible shot. Truly love these theories for the others though so now I am going to sit back and enjoy the show as it's been hell of a ride.

I think Kesi at this point would be too obvious. Almost all youtubers commenting on the show at this point are saying its Kesi, as well as I'm sure most of the audience right now. If the producers ended up actually making it her it would make the show more boring and less memorable. If they made the mole Will however, the person with the most one on one camera dialogue, the poerson who earned the most to be the least suspecting, the person who's deemed as somewhat of a main character, it makes the show much more shocking and memorable

Sure enough, Kesi is the #1 pick in the fan poll on the Netflix website that came out today. Joi was the top choice of fans in the previous poll last week. I agree that a shocking result would be more memorable, but people also like to be right, so it could be good for the show either way.

The mole is Joi. Has anyone taken the time to look over the quiz footage. The mole is obviously going to get all the questions right, so her confidence is going to be high. No hesitation in hitting the button for the green screen or sigh of relief. I can't say I ever saw Joi "sweat". Also, she sabotaged the first mission by reading the map. The group was moving in the right direction for the down low treasure, then makes a incredible U-turn north while other teams proceeded in the relative correct direction. As a plane navigator, she would still be able to at least get the general direction right. She then sowed distrust with her gamble of 25,000 dollars to sow distrust and make the other players want the Exempt card. After that, she backed off so as not to draw attention. In the choosing the painting challenge, did you notice her eyes. They seemed to focus on the painting on the right - her work. Another clue. She is the mole.

I still think it’s Will!! Except the unexpected. He is the only one no one is suspicious, perfect place for the mole to be. Joi might also be because she is so obvious and by playing that game people will start to think it’s not her. Kesa just have bad vibes I feel like it might be her, and why she always wearing yellow? My guess for mole is Jacob. My theory is that the producers put in clues to lead eagle eyed viewers to think Kesi is the mole. I think they are intentionally leading the viewers to think it's her with fake clues.

Great videos!!! Don't have kesi at the top though. The fact that she has done the most suspicious things makes her a bad mole and too obvious. Isn't that why you discount Joi? I have Jacob first. I imdb the show and only two people have photos: avory and Jacob. Avory makes sense because she is a professional gamer. Jacob is a firefighter and actor. Wait. What!!! I am pretty sure the show has left out this crucial detail. I feel like the editors have wanted us to believe it's joi then Jacob and now Kesi. It's not joi because it's too blatant. I thought the editing was making it too obvious it was Jacob until the over exposure on kesi. Now I think Jacob is the odd one out and the most subtle of the 3 they have offered to us. This also makes will my dark horse. I fully expect joi to be sent home next. Avori is the only one I am sure it's not. I think the finale will be a three way fight between will kesi and Jacob and that's the order I have them in right now.

I’m from the Netherlands have been watching our version since 2003 (23rd season!) just found the US one on Netflix and wondered if there were people on KZbin making videos with theories so I found your channel :) lovely that you mention the Dutch version a lot. Have you been able to watch them?

Thanks! Yes, I still watch WIDM every week, and my videos were definitely influenced by all the great "Molloten" in the Netherlands that discuss hints and theories. I love the production value of the Dutch version of the show and they have developed the game to have so many layers that it is so great to watch and follow along. For the current season, I was in the "Nabil tunnel" but now I think it is Jurre - which seems to be a popular opinion. We'll see!

@@MoleTracker wow, so amazing! This is the season I think I’ve discovered the mole in the first episode- Jurre. He’s Done a training for musical and yet wasn’t singing good enough? I don’t buy it, he’s probably done something weird. He’s also very annoying, always complaining, commenting and talking really fast and panicky during missions. Would be great to be right one time, haha, I’m no expert, didn’t know for sure who was the mole in the US version until Avori left ;)

I feel it’s Averi, just simply by how her reaction is always the same every time her name gets called out as the winner. Also coz of how disrespectful she got when the group asked her to show her feet after the walking on the hot coal challenge. Loads of times she tried to make herself seem like the mole to deter others from guessing who the mole is. What I mean is she’s most consistent in everything which always favours in everyone loosing or being at risk. In fact only time when she took sides with everyone else was the one time when they did the challenge where she would’ve benefited but also seemed like she’s on everyone’s side. I think it was the one where they were all tied up and she just wanted to get out of having to sleep in the cold so she wanted to play the game and make it seem like she’s a team player. Also that way even if she took the exemption card she could use that to make it seem like she’s not the mole and really needs exemption because in reality the mole is always exempt anyone so why would they need the card. She was just acting there I reckon

The columbian flag has really thrown me a curveball. Mainly because when I first saw it in the show, I thought it was the flag of Lithuania, with a definite green stripe. But the flag on that plane is clearly the flag of columbia. Either my eyes were decieving me, or they changed it for the promotional materials, which is suspicious in of itself. And yet, I still believe the mole to be Joi. Mainly, currently, down tio the fact she has decided Will is her mole for the last two eliminations. Something that, if Kesi is the mole, should have definitely had her eliminated over Greg who actively suspected Kesi. I don't know. I really have been in a Joi tunnel since the first twenty seconds of episode one, because I want to believe they re used the magic number of four again. Maybe it's blinded me.

I think at this point we have to assume that some of the characteristics held by the mole are shared by other people. Some of these questions are really open ended. Perhaps a question is like: does the mole have siblings? That could work for multiple people. Questions like that have been keeping people safe for a long time even if they have the wrong person as the mole. One question is like does the mole have long hair? That could work for Will and all the women left on the show.

Straight up talking? For some reason Kelsi is pretty spared from bold comments around her doings. People, by now, should cornered her big time. I only 'd be suprised if Will is the mole. I erased him on my list when he hurt on rocks. I read: the mole would not be that far to hide himself. Avory? For me, just a bullshiP troll. Joi is greed and bad player. I take she's getting desperate by that. For me: Kelsi / Jacob. Avory / Joi Will. I hope Will don't lose this time. For some reason, Will shows up too much on show. Maybe Will won the game.

Part of me does not believe it's Kesi because it's way too obvious but after that bird challenge there's no way she's that dumb. She was literally doing everything possible to keep money out of the pot. I feel like the edit would try to hide her suspicious behavior but they're making her obvious to throw us off. The first time I suspect Avori was at the second mission while everyone may had a chance to build trust, and not to push the red bottom to win 10000 dollars. As a volleyball coach, I would think she would be loud and maybe a bit brash but her personality is just the obvious. The last mission in the house sealed the deal for me. I think the thing that is interesting is Avori has been putting a lot of eggs in her basket towards Jacob for a while now but is free and clear. Whereas, Casey hinted at putting all her eggs in the Jacob bag and got eliminated AND Greg hinted at splitting up his votes between Kesi and Jacob and lost as well. How has Avori been getting by because at this point, it doesn't look like Jacob is the mole. Furthermore, Avori looked at the information about all the players. So the questions that others may have gotten wrong because they don't know that information in general, she would have gotten right.
