If you had any concept of what her mental state was, you'd take that back. She was essentially stuck in the mind of a child herself. Imagine a 12-year-old getting pregnant by her father who has kept her prisoner since she was eight, brainwashed her, and told her if she got pregnant, she would be denied food for a month. That's the kind of mentality she had. In her mind, those babies were a risk to her very being and her mind was incapable of processing things like an adult would. She lived in a constant state of fear and deep depression. It's a very sad reality. HE is the one who directly caused this to happen. She was little more than a repeatedly kicked dog who could never get time to recover before the next blow hit and continuously terrified of when it would come. You just can't expect a person in that state to make logical, rational decisions. It's not possible.

Yes I agree but maybe boys heard the babies crying and that's why they went in. Not that I'm proud of myself but when my daughter was younger I was like an alcoholic and things I shouldn't have ( 10 yrs sober,)but parents used to let their kids like neighbors come to my house cuz they knew I was a psycho and wouldn't let kids out of my site. This was 30 years ago years ago but it just applies to everything that mothers don't do now you definitely don't let your child play at somebody else's house when you've never been in there. There need to be rules. You can't do that and then cry when they get hurt. But seriously her son did more for those kids than his mother. This has to be the most heartbreaking disgusting case I’ve ever had the misfortune to hear. I’m puzzled that the father apparently didn’t know when the boy that rang his mum managed to hear them crying? I’m appalled by the state of the house and that the school didn’t get cps involved because those poor older children must’ve smelled awful living in that. Why did she feel the need to keep them in separate rooms too? Even that is next level shit and that’s the least of the horrificness. I’ll never understand why she didn’t leave them on the church steps or at a hospital. Anywhere rather than subject the poor babies to what they did. The sentences they received are despicable and the judge should struggle to look herself in the mirror every day. Horrible horrible horrible from start to finish.
