For me, it was when he stepped into the Miami game last season after Jimmy went down. He looked like he'd already been practicing with and had a good connection with the number 1s. He had the poise and confidence to get it done.

That first start against Brady and the Buccs was the moment I knew he was the one. Yeah we had great defense but he had that offense buzzing. His mannerisms show he a LEGIT QB.

Richard, hated you as a Seahawk, and loved you as a 49er, because of your amazing play for both teams!! You are one of the brightest NFL players I have ever listened to, and now you are continuing your brilliance as an announcer on Thursday Night Football, and on your Podcast. It never gets old hearing Juice tell the Brock Purdy SHUT UP huddle story. :)

@@slowmobius2136 niners have always had a very strong seasons for the past decade. The problem is when we get to the playoffs the refs are not very fair. Look at our rivalry with Seattle. So many of those games we should have won in the playoffs look at the super bowl against KC. Look at the crappy play cards and penalties kc got away with.

Man when Richard was with the Seahawks he used to give us fits🤦🏾♂️ But now I love the guy. He’s so knowledgeable about the game. And he’s usually right. I remember one time my 49ers played the Seahawks and Richard said “what happened the last time we played “ and he was right. Seahawks kicked our butts. I suffered a lot when the Seahawks were good but I think we’ve finally arrived. Now we’ve got to stay away from injuries and this team should win it all this year. But you know what, I’ve seen teams go 5-0 and not make the playoffs so stay hungry niners!

Richard, I've always heard that you could have probably been an elite wr if you had gotten the chance to do this at Stanford (not that it matters...shoot, you became one of the leagues all time goats at cb1) and this is kinda what lead to you and Jim Harbaugh kinda having some lowkey funk...is there any truth to this? Obviously the hands are proof, as is the athleticism, and speed...but, I just kinda heard through local bay area and LA ppl that you were supposed to play wr there originally...

Calm down and let’s see what he’s got.. this game isn’t over yet.. we bought purdy jerseys that night and wore them the following weeks game. Been on the purdy train since then.. sadley wishing he woukd fet that lose sooner rather then later so he doesn’t get too delved from the game itself and takes that first loss harder then needed. That said.. I’m scared knowing the player and mentality he has the guy that he becomes after a loss
