Just so you know, this guy hasn’t retired yet. So we might see a race with him and Donovan brazier at the 2021 Tokyo olympics, which quite possibly could be the greatest 800m race of all time.

In the era of Usain Bolt, David Rudisha remained underrated. Truly one of the GOAT's, without taking away anything from Usain Bolt. His record too is set to remain for a very long time as will his achievement of successive Golds. I truly hope he can treble it at the next Olympics.
@nickyfranchesco5611
@nickyfranchesco5611 2 жыл бұрын
Those 2 Usain bolt and Rudisha both records are untouchable but there is a Kenyan athlete who ran a 1:43.76 in the 800m at the age of 17 in the World U20 if well trained and nurtured he can break Rudisha's record,Bolt is untouchable.

Rudisha runs so smooth and effortlessly. I think he could of also been a good 400m runner.

Considering his long strides i think he could have a great 400m runner,but sadly i think is career is over injuries time by time he haa now handed the baton to a kenyan youngster who is capable of breaking his record same physique and strength.

I know the point of this series is to pick races that weren't actually their fastest times or world records, but I still think his greatest moment is breaking the world record in an Olympic final. Unquestionably the greatest 800m ever where every runner ran a WR/NR/PB except the one guy who was having a bad season compared to his other yrs that still ran a SB. I'm pretty sure no other race in history has two letters next to every finisher.

Yeah I agree the 2012 Olympics are his absolute best performance But this video is about finding out at what moment he became the absolut goat. Yeah you could even say that after 2012 but I agree with TRP here to turn such a season around and run this race with pure class really silenced all doubters and making it a fact that he is the all time greatest

Speaking of the 2016 RIo Olympics. I really hope we'll see a thorough TRP analysis of Almaz Ayana's outworldly 10 000m race soon. Beating a 23 year old world record by 13 seconds and beating the previous second fastest time in history with 36 seconds seems to have been all but forgotten already. :/

Thanks for the video - yep, ahead of Lowe, Whitfield, Snell, Juantorena, Coe, Cruz, and Kipketer, and the fact he ran differently to win Rio seals the deal. Could you though edit to ensure the captions spell his name correctly? It frequently gives “Rhodesia” - not that respectful if you are labelling him the G.O.A.T.
