The book this movie is based on came out in 93. Usual suspects was 95 and Primal Fear was 96 but the writing it’s based on was form 93. Don’t know about when Usual Suspects was written but yeah it’s a pretty similar plot.

The 1997 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor went to... Cuba Gooding Jr. for Jerry Maguire as Rod Tidwell. Also nominated was William H. Macy for Fargo as Jerry Lundegaard. Edward Norton was of course absolutely genius in Primal Fear as Aaron Stampler (Roy). That's a tough call, and I'll bet a lot of people grumbled about it.

He has the direct sociopathic look in his eyes when he becomes his true self (Roy). Like it’s all fun to him. Then his eyes comepletly change once he becomes Aaron. Wow Edward Norton did such a fantastic piece of work!! They say the biggest twist was Kevin Spacey in that one picture (he was too show boaty) but this one’s even better!!!

I haven't seen his recent films, but a great actor, who has "range", the ability to play a good guy or a bad guy, equally well, sometimes in the same movie, as in "American History X". My two favorites, the Spike Lee joint "25th Hour". And the classic, "Rounders", where he wasn't the lead, Damon was, one of Damon’s best performances. Either way, excellent performance, and an excellent cast, overall.
