It is truly true that it is difficult to properly understand the Quran without knowing history. Especially in a case like mine where the historical background is completely different/Korea/I have a lot to learn about history, culture, Arabic, etc., but I am thankful that Allah is always with me on my path. This is my note from this class: The more someone is afraid of being called out, the more they have to put themselves in a religious disguise. So, you might find sometimes some of the worst people you’ll ever meet look extremely religious. The objective of the Quran is to produce people who will obey Allah even when every one of their feelings is saying to disobey Allah and His messenger. You can’t make people obey the Shariah by implementing laws, the people need to be already obeying Allah and His messenger's teachings to be able to obey the Shariah law, otherwise, it will be just another law. Forcing laws can’t make one a true believer, they might follow the law to avoid punishments but in their heart, they might not be a true believer. The ultimate victory of Islam is to make a human being successful in front of Allah on judgment day. We have to make our youth inspired by the Quran. If we can make the youths inspired by the Quran then those youths will become fathers and mothers one day and within a few years we will have an entire generation of Muslims that will naturally bring about an Islamic society. As this religion will be part of their psyche, they will be consciously Muslims, not civilizational Muslims. The youths will be Muslims not because their parents are Muslims, they will be Muslims because they believe in its teachings, they love this religion, they are convinced in this religion, and they know its values. War is a matter of battlefields, not a matter of civilian population. We don’t target the civilians because we don’t know who the believers are. This is the stand of Islam on civilian war. Our attitude towards the entire country as one is anti-qur'anic. Allah doesn’t destroy one country entirely because there is a mix of both believers and non-believers. If one country is full of disbelievers Allah will destroy it, and Allah will punish them. This is the principle of Islam. When Makkah was at war with Rasulullah (SAW) 3 times, who expelled Rasul (SAW) and tried to kill him, even then you can’t even oversimplify the population of Makkah as one country full of non-believers. Because there are people in that country who are or will become believers. So, you can’t even say that to any other country in this world. Allah took that license away from us, we can’t oversimplify a country by labeling it a Kuffar country.

I would tend to disagree with Your notion of not implementing Islamic Shariah laws and instead making people prepared who are ready to obey Allah. Had that been the case then in Khullafae Rashideen times the Islamic laws won't have been enforced. These laws prevent people from doing bad things. While in free society you won't find much people following the correct way

Bottom up approach was in Makkah, After Establishment of Islamic State in Medina Top down approach also applied along with Bottom up... Imagine No Conquest of Makkah, Rome or Faras & others... hey guys chill bottom up approach... In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious and Most Merciful ‎وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۚ إِلَّا تَفْعَلُوهُ تَكُن فِتْنَةٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَفَسَادٌ كَبِيرٌ And those who disbelieve are allies of one another, (and) if you (Muslims of the whole world collectively) do not do so [i.e. become allies, as one united block under one Khalifah (a chief Muslim ruler for the whole Muslim world) to make victorious Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism], there will be Fitnah (wars, battles, polytheism) and oppression on the earth, and a great mischief and corruption (appearance of polytheism). 8: 73 Why are we Muslims not talking about reestablishing the power and control Allah SWT give us from the beginning? The command is to unite under one Khalifah. The number one concern on the minds of the Muslims is the tragedy in Gazza. The destruction in Gazza is worse than that of Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined. The Zionist Israelis are the modern day Amelak as they were a tribe from nation of the Israelites and their brutality in Gazza and West Bank is the evidence. We have to listen to what Allah SWT is saying to us in the above verse and from the beginning. "And Remember when your Lord said to the Angels, I am going place Khalifah on earth".... 2: 30 You see the UN which controlled by USA, is dead body in the muddy water as every resolution passed by majority, is vetoed by USA. Which means we have to create a balance of power in the world by creating United League of Muslim Nations. Which is to reestablish the Caliphate because we are children of Adam, peace be upon him . "United League of Muslim Nations" under one Khalifah will be a strictly defensive Force with a quick response to any threat to the Ummah of Islam. And it is easy to do it. It will be the Council of Muftis, from which they will choose the Khalifah. Under the Khalifah will be a seat for a Mufti from every country in world with 100,000 plus Muslim population as Islam is for entire World. From every municipality we will choose a representative till we have the Council of Muftis for that country with a Grand Mufti of that country to sit in the Council of Muftis under the Khalifah. All communication can be done remotely with everyone working from home. Most effective and real democratic way of governing where all decisions are made by the Council of Muftis but the Khalifah having the final say. Under the Khalifah, the "ULMN" will have its own army, navy and Air Force under one commander for defending the entire ummah. We already have the hardware from major Muslim countries. They just have to be relabeled "ULMN" when they out to defend any part of the Ummah like removing the Mediterranean Sea blockade by Israelis.The four letters "ULMN" will be enough to deter anyone from doing what is happening in Gazza today. But we have to be the Nation of Al Muttaqun for Allah SWT is saying now: "You are the Best of People ever raised up for Mankind, enjoining what is Good, forbidding what is evil and believing in Allah SWT" .... Quran 3: 110 Then how can we go wrong when the fear of "ULMN" will overwhelm the hearts of our enemies? That is what Islam is and we are Muslims to resolve every matter in a Peaceful manner, Insha Allah. Alhamdu Lillah.
